Thank you Saves. I still have a little trimming to do to improve the view. A little bit at a time now. I need to put my plastics panels up around this porch when it warms up a bit. Keep this snow from getting on the porch and dripping down on the firewood below. And causing me to have to sweep/shovel more!:picard:

I wish, just once, I could complete a small plumbing job with only one trip to the hardware store. I have one last connection to hook up an expansion tank to the indoor boiler and I forgot to get one fitting. :picard: 30 minutes of driving for a $0.59 part.

Well guess it is our turn. Been watching mother nature try and creep across the valley all morning. She finally made it about 12:15. So I am going to watch a little tv, have a beer and enjoy the stove. Can't see the other side of the valley.

I think that's a standard with plumbing jobs. Luckily I have 2 hardware stores within 2-3 miles and 5 minutes drive. If I need more than that the home Depot is like 5 miles and 10 minutes away.

Yeah I'll have to post pics. We got 4.7" yesterday. I snowblowed at midnight. It's a little less impressive than the measured amount now, but it's still a blanket of white. Saturday it's to get to 40°, then another round of snow, then super cold. Lows could possibly reach the single digits. :bug:

We got just enough to screw up the roads. No shovel needed.

Got to spend some quality time in NH with my ole best bud, hanging out in front of his tiny little Vermont Castings stove. That little stove put out a lot of heat. He and I have played music together for almost 50 years now (OK... I really didn't just type that... o_O... 50?) ... doesn't seem real but, ever since we were teenagers in the early 70s. Later he became a master wood craftsman in the yacht building biz. A nicer, more modest and talented guy... you will not meet.
    Life is good... :fire:

That’s why always buy several of the same items when doing something, one for now and a few for later. That’s also why I carry several wire nuts in from the truck when I only need one, just like me to drop one and lose it!

That picture would be complete if it had a big old Black Lab stretched out between you and the stove........................

I usually do the same....and I usually have some stuff in the plumbing box to get me out of a pinch like this. Stupid 1/2" galvanized coupling got me this time.
