Spent most of the day doing laundry and splitting wood. About 80% of this pile was done today. Did a little grilling for supper, too. So, I'm relaxing and watching a little football while laying on the heating pad. [IMG]

Wind/rain storm the other night brought several trees over. Made several good size White Pine leaners. So I was out with the Echo CS680 today taking them down. Then broke out the John Deere 310J to remove the stumps. I had been going through 310J withdrawals because of all the rain we have been getting. Trying to not make a mess if not necessary. Felt good to be back in it today. A nice machine. Things are still soft but I tried to stay out of the wettest areas. And I needed these trees down on the ground at least. Later this week I will finish cutting them up and get the wood over to the processing area for next seasons firewood. I forgot the pics.:emb:

Finally got the oil change done on the truck. Filter was on so tight I had to drill it. I'm glad I don't use it as a daily driver, 15 qts of Rotella T6 would get pricey after a bit.
Now to clean the house before Val gets home tomorrow.

    That's a 7.3 power stroke, right?

It's not much different than me Dailying my allroad with it needing 8+ qts 0w-40 mobil1 and a $15 filter, 12k oil changes. Finally when mobil1 was available in 5 qt jugs for $25 did it just get to not be a big hit in the wallet. Prior to the last couple of years, I had to buy oil in 1 qt bottles for ~$9 a qt. That was $80 just for the oil. There wasn't/ isn't many options to go with different oil on that Audi. It was either the mobil1, or a Castrol euro formula. Both were the same price, and both sucked to try to locate.

Yeah, '02 7.3. I know I could stretch it, but I try to do an oil change at 5K. If it goes to 7K I'm still good, but I'm not pushing it. Been using the Hot Shots Sticktion eliminator also, it has helped a bit. With the new 4" turbo-back exhaust and the other stuff, truck is running really good. At least WalMart carries the T6, so oil isn't an issue.

Drill it?? I have just knocked a hole in them with a big screw driver and twisted them off. Does the "drilling" method accomplish the same thing?

Stoney ridge Farmer on YT just did a video on the Hotshot fuel treatment. His MPG went up significantly useing it. Like from 16 empty to 20mpg on his return trip loaded.

Same thing, just no additional stress on anything. Step drill, 1/8", 5/16". 1/2". Ran a 1/2" handle from a big tap wrench I have through the holes and was able to back it off. It was on way too tight. New one is hand tight.

I've gained about 2 mpg. using it for the last year, but I have a heavy foot and drive over 11K elevation almost daily.

Plus you know it has oil on the gasket now too.

I was shocked how loose my filter was on my f150 when I changed it the first time. It didn't leak though, amazingly. I put them a little it snug. They always come off easily then.

Exterior ply or marine ply, which is expensive. Water isn’t going to allow the glue to separate.
