I'm from the Coast!! The east coast. While we did have industrial things on the waterfront they were usually things like shipyards , and consolidation yards associated with shipping and cargo. Also other industrial business in the are like tanks and such. When you got into lesser developed areas or more rural it was either fields or just woods along water.

This is why it's so foreign to me.

Clue to where I grew up. Look at my state. It was one of the top three port cities on the east coast. I think back then in the 90s had the deepest port at the time on the east.

And more common ones so that I would have them in stock...even at my farmhouse that I stay while hunting.

Won't be long until I can't reach the stove if the creatures keep piling up. [IMG]

I had a Streamlight flashlite that used that size. Nice size to carry in your shirt pocket.

I called yesterday, they are swamped from the snow storm. Hopefully this week, I'm dying of curiosity! How nice, they've been pulling it inside every night because of the broken back windshield and snow storm. :sherlock:

With pushing it around, I'm surprised they didn't just put a sheet of plastic, or a piece of cardboard with sheet plastic over it.

Yes, snow here. It's supposed to snow until 3pm. We've already got a few inches of snow.

I hear it's a record amount on Halloween for snowfall.

Yeah. Our Fall pretty much never happened. I just mowed last week. I swore i'd need to mow the lawn at least 1x more, but that's looking like it's not going to happen. Maybe it's time to pull the deck off. I have new bearings for the spindles, even though I don't think it needs them. My buddy said because of how loud the deck is that it has to need spindle bearings. I hear from others with my tractor that those decks are simply just louder than most, even when new or rebuilt. New blades, high lift ones, will happen, as well as a paint strip and paint job on the mower deck will happen though for next year.

Take the belt off so that the individual spindles can be spun by hand, give them fling one at a time, should be relatively silent...if it has a bit of a growl to it, bearing time.

Yeah, it's an odd, albeit very heavy duty design that doesn't really make it easy to take the belt off. It's a shaft drive PTO input, then run from the gearbox to the pulleys with a belt final drive. I will say that I'll change that belt too if it really is as much of a pita as it appears.

I helped my neighbor drop and reinstall his 52" deck on his simplicity that I've borrowed. When they are 100% belt drive, they are easy to check the spindles.

I'll post up in my ariens tractor thread.
