I just finished building this. 99 lbs wanted it built for protection as the snow load throughout the winter literally flattens that poor arbor vitae! Made it out of some scrap pallet lumber....hows that Pallet Pete ??? :handshake:

    She's happy!

Got most of the Mulberry tree I was working on cut up and rounds toted up to the splitting area yesterday. Tire then went flat. Removed the tire figuring I will take it to the tire shop in the morning.
Drove to town and dropped the tire off. Told them I had about an hours worth of running around.
Went to the glass shop to pick up a window that I had dropped off Mon. They called me yesterday saying it was ready. Got there and they were having problems putting it together. WTF! You said it was done. Come back in an 1 1/2.
Went to Lowes to get a replacement toilet seat and decided to look at the lighted fans for the kitchen. Boy didn't know there were so many choices. Managed to waste an hour.
Back to the tire shop and picked up the tire. $15 not to bad.
Back to the glass shop. Still not ready. "We will have it done in a half hour if you can hang around". 45 minutes later she comes out and says. I will have to get one of the more experience guys to try." By that time it was all I could do to remain civil. "30 min round trip and I don't care to make it again." They would send it home with one of their employees that lives close to me.
It is suppose to start raining at noon and heavily over night. The weather guesses were correct for once. Taped plastic up where the window was. Now 7:15 and still no window delivery.
Next was to put the tire back on the Mini. Got the tire out of the trunk and you guessed it was flat.. It didn't last until I got home. Back to the tire shop another 30 mile round trip. The employees sort of liked it. The boss was the one that fixed the tire. Got a new tube out of it.
went to replace the toilet seat. The first bolt came out easily. Ah maybe it is going to go good. Second bolt wouldn't budge. To heck with this. I don't have patience enough to deal with this today. Went and got the grinder. My wife yelled at me when I was grinding it out. "What" "There are sparks gong all over the place" "Yes honey. That is what a grinder does." "Your going to start a fire." "That is why your my fire watch." Job complete.
Wasn't there a song that said "If wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all."

The best view of these trees from the house is actually from the bathroom window...from a certain bathroom seat.
Maybe I could sell "ride" tickets ;)

Marshel54 yeah, that's one of those days. At least the toilet is functional, and you at least shored up the window until the glass is done.

It is a working waterfront in Newfoundland. They are common on the coast esp. when you get where get to where the workers live near their work. Always mixed uses and the priority given to making a living.
