    If you can’t get it into neutral you could remove the driveshafts to tow.

    Ok I have missed a few weeks and probably like 25 pages.

    This last weekend I put all new weather stripping in my k10 also put new window runs or flocking or the felt type tracks that the windows ride in. This truck hasn't had any for probably a decade and the windows have clanked around in their tracks and had wind noise. I also rebuilt my vent windows with new seals.

    Saw 10 does this morning. Danged bucks are hiding. But lots of fresh scrapes so they will be showing soon.

    All Toyotas except the cars have bad MPG. But it's a fair trade for reliability and them holding value over even a Honda, let alone anything American.

    Congrats on the auction wildwest
    :emptywallet::emptywallet:
    :)

    Well, I guess it's a good news bad news situation..

    Pull in at work today and notice spots in my path..

    :confused:

    20191025_123402.jpg

    No smell, grab a Kleenex.. red fluid..
    :doh:

    Had a power steering line corrode and leak, but that got fixed.. likely culprit.. Transmission.

    Stopped on the way home and picked up some ATF fluid.. finish getting home.. And this.

    :mad::mad:

    Good/bad news I did say..

    Good part is that I noticed it, otherwise I'd be sitting on the roadside somewhere between my house and farmer steve place.

    So, since the car passed inspection, but not back yet as waiting on tires, looks like I'll be homebound this weekend.
    :confused:

    But it is Friday.
    :pete:
    :cheers:

    Does it run ok? Hopefully it's just a busted or corroded line like your PS? Pan gaskets don't usually let go, but where your at maybe it rusted through?

    Fail on the towing, it was too light to slow me in the 3/4 ton pickup on turns and stop signs and down STEEEEEP hills but we made it almost 1/2 way, then the brakes got funny, no more tapping his breaks for a quick jerk on the tow strap to signal me (no rear view mirror, 500 gal water tank in bed), it was either no brakes or full on locked up and he just slipped/floated around on the course gravel.

    Called AAA, woops, coverage lapsed this summer, so 48 hr waiting period for tow on reinstated policy. Called my car insurance to add to policy (since I have the title and VIN now). Would you believe Progressive honored road side asst (tow) an hour after I insured it?!?!? Should have took the Blazer to tow, but we get jerked around too much between #1 and #2 gears (talking from doing it many times over the years :whistle:).

    I talked to WyoTech Beetle-Kill , they do not take project cars or offer training rates anymore:doh:. It's on the way to the dealership now via the free tow. Get it scoped and go from there, the auctioneer put a new battery in Horkn, but it was still having brain stalls. Thanks for the youtube Mwalsh9152 , sure enough that little cap was already off (missing) when we returned today. It's more dinged up than I realized but too nothing major for my needs, I have no problem with it except I'll need to replace the back windshield.

    He is already calling it, "momma's bus jeep" :rofl: :lol: It will be awesome to have heat blowing instead of cool air every afternoon, and like clemsonfor just mentioned, the Blazer weather stripping is shot too so even though the engine warms up faster the wind goes straight through it. I could have sunk that $$ into the Blazer except that stiff clutch is becoming more difficult for me. As well as the funny yoga positions I have to perform to get it down far enough to disengage so I can shift and still see over the dashboard.

    I hope this all works out, would really be ideal for me. If not it appears I can sell it "as is needs work" for the $$ I spent on it.

    Yep, runs fine. Took the shroud off and started it, could see a stream from where the line goes into the cooler.
