:salute: thanks for understanding with the typo :). WWW guesses the inner diameter is 1" though I thought wider on main inlet and check valve... Either way for the cost of a sed filter & adapters and replacement filters VS new cistern requiring excavation and digging in a new main line is worth a try. We can buy bottled water for drinking/cooking again if needed but without toilets/laundry/showers/dish washing everything comes to a halt:picard:

I wonder if you could get a washable screen prefilter? Would save buying so many replacement filters. We have one at work...I'll try to remember to get info off it...has a very fine screen in it...easy to wash out.

I've been out east in the so-called non-busy season. Still, the traffic is what I hate the worst out there. It reminds me of going anywhere near Detroit, and I have not been to Detroit for about 40 years now. I hope it is another 140 years before I have to go there too. But then, I don't even like going to a village of 5,000 people.

Made it into town to pick up another trailer load of firewood. Its right around 2 face cord for $50 so I am not passing it up.

I call it a "back saver"!!! (Although.. not quite.....)

    Split 8 rounds of apple.
Started getting things rounded up for gtg this weekend.
Sliced up the Loxs (cold smoked salmon) I made for gtg.
I believe I have a sled dog. She gobbled down the skin when I skinned the salmon fillets and scraps from cutting today. Never had a dog that liked Salmon before. Heck my cats don't even eat it. I don't care much for it either, but I do love it smoked.

Thanks! Looks like a great solution! Bren when you said you "wash" it out is that flushing with valve or do you actually take it out from the canister? Seems I would need a shut off on each side to take it out?

Yes, valve each side, remove, wash, re-install.

Got a lot of mom's basement cleaned out. Probably about 20% filled a dumpster that serves over 40 houses haha.

Me and the Rio picked up the shingles after work then got some more work done on the frame of the garage

First fire of the year is bringing the stove up to temp. Its 65F in the house, and not going to make it into the 60s for the next few days.

Let's see if I remember how this thing works.

In the height of the season, it has to be unbelievable. The first day we rolled in, I tried to drive around downtown. Nope. GTFO. There was a cruise ship in town and with the typical but very nice and sunny fall day it was full of cars and people.

There's 2 cruise ships a day, and each are there for 6 hrs each. The cruise ships started at like 50 a year. Now they are up to 120 ships a year.

    Stupid.
