damm I need to mow more often.... none of that in my neighborhood Ive seen!

Back to fixing the mower, I dont know if even cleaning the deck more often will help, as the crap somehow worked in under the plastic covers bolted to the underside of the deck meant to keep the belt mechanism clear!

Yea just Ive been working on that room and windows since August and Ive got a laundry list of other projects to get to (including cleaning the stove!)... When you only get one day a week at best to make progress things move slow.

    :coffee:

Well, been busy the last few days. Yesterday I got out of work a little early and took advantage of the nice weather to give both vehicles the fall wash&wax (I like to wax every year before the road salt hits).

My wife has been working on repainting the stairs the 3rd time... Finally we have the color that we like but it took 3 more coats to get the red to hide the blue. At 24 hours each and keeping the stairs usable that was time consuming.

Making slow progress on the windows, I have just one more sash now to razor the glass and then I need to finish installing the weatherstrip and I can button the windows up and finally finish paint touch up and call the room done.

Outside now Ive just got leaf cleanup to do after they fall and some tree trimming around the house.

All the fall car maintenance is done except for a tire rotation on the Pilot.

The plumber is coming next week to do the long overdue clean and tune of the gas steam boiler (been 5 years o_O) and then all I need to do is sweep all the flues and the heating systems are GTG.

Then that leaves just the pile of rounds to process :saw::axe: and fall projects are done. Then I can finally

I will try to take part of this weekend off and do nothing. That will be tonight and Saturday. Sunday I have to cut some grass and move a little firewood in under the porch. (Doing that a little at a time)

This afternoon I got one window done and installed... leaving just one more to weatherstrip and install tomorrow. Can ya tell its 80 years old :D

I also did the annual services on the big helicopter... cleaned and oiled the air filter, new plug, replaced the muffler gasket, and a general check over for loose wires or bolts and then gave it a quick wax. Periodically you are supposed to repack all the thrust bearings with new grease but it doesn't look like it needs that yet.

And now I can relax a bit. My SIL is down to hang out with my wife for the weekend and she always brings me an offering of beer. I think she knows my taste well now

Got the grass cut in the rain. My streak is still holding for breaking mechanical stuff lately. Didn't really break the mower but it started running ROUGH. Cleaned the carb and air filter and it's running a lot better.
