New shed.

 

Well,.. passed my CDL physical today. Prepping for CDL classes for Saturday. Face-to-face with DMV employees yesterday, got the low-down on scheduling.
Testing for a permit next week. I have 14 days before I can re-test, time frame is perfect for a pre-planned vacay. to Mich. Then I can interview locally. If,...if I can get that one position I'm after, I'll be pretty happy.
We'll see what happens, won't know until Nov. I'm sure. I just know I am done with blue-prints and estimating. I am burnt !
Going to try something new. Wish me luck.

Up and at em. Sounded like we got some more rain overnight. Looks that way this morning too. Glad we did. Need the water.

Well, I have done little to nothing on my days off over the last 5 days. And have been enjoying it. Down time with family is good. Hopefully today will be the same. We are all planning on going somewhere for lunch. Then, after the younger kids soccer practice, we may go bowling and then back home for a nice meal on the porch and a bonfire.

So you are doing this through a school? And you'll take the pre-trip and driving part at the school?
I did mine without "the school" (you can still do that here in Ohio...but I hear it ends next year) and contrary to what was recommended to me, I tried to take the pre-trip and driving portion of the test at the trooper exam station...mistake...got Mr. "by the book super trooper" for my test instructor...yeah...that didn't go well. Tried again a few weeks later at a driving school that is also a licensed exam station (what was recommended to me to begin with!) and passed no problem. (had a much newer truck n trailer the second time though too...that helped for sure)

That is a big change in careers. However, it seems that you've been burnt with what you are currently doing, so why not? I know that industry is really short on drivers.

Stayed up too late last night watching the Blue Jays fight to win and then they lost. Getting ready to go to work for the fourth day. With no students and teachers interrupting, the days are pretty intense. At least we don't have to deal with a new phone system like last year. That was a real circus.

 

Same here, only I was watching the Indians lose in extra innings to the Mets!!

 

I was hoping the chubbies would've lost last night, but they somehow won.

 

I hope the best for you. I got mine in 96. Got out of driving 7 years ago. Still have it just in case.

 

I just got my class A permit the other day (currently have class B). I'm scheduled to take the inspection and driving test on Sept 18. There are some excellent videos on YouTube by CDL College. They're a school from your home state of Colorado. That's what I used for when I had to pass the class B test. I'm doing the same for the class A. I highly recommend the videos.
