Back to work this morning for another school year. It will be a busy two weeks before school starts. New principal, new vice principal and a couple of new teachers added to the roster. I am hoping we have more students than last year to help with the numbers in September.

Woodwidow, we are starting our third week of school this week already!:faint:

I was told at a meeting I was in the "red zone" for retiring.

As long as it stays fun and I feel I am effective, I am staying.

No experience with fixing with that but have used contact cement many times and it works if you do it right. It should work great with a heel. Put the cement on both sides (after cleaning) and allow them to become dry but tacky. Beware how you put it together too because if you do it right, those 2 pieces will stick together like right now!

Road grader finally went down our road. Probably getting ready to brine it. Then if we are lucky we'll get graded again in November and then not again until April or May. Can't overwork this crew...

That brine to keep the dust down makes the whole year bad for your cars. We have enough problems with the road salt in winter here. Only a few dirt roads left and those are mostly for historic purposes.

Well, it is better than all the dust. Lots of gravel roads in MI.

I guess you're right. Road dust is awful.

Well, my weekend tractor repair was a bust. Drove to the tree farm to replace the radiator in the Ford. Replacement wasn’t remotely close. Drove back home that same day, bringing the original to have a radiator shop fix it. Today I did. Three hours later they call to say it’s fixed. Only 40 bucks.

Got home and decided to replace the power steering pump on the Massey. The China-made EBay special is too fat bodied. Called the Massey dealer. Their factory replacement is four times higher, but I am sick of this stuff. So it will be here Friday.

My new bicycle had a flat. Fixed t. It is still holding air. Take your wins with gratitude.

I couldn't hit the like button on your post. I have had to many days in a row like the day you mentioned. Yes, you do have to gladly accept the positives that happen no matter how small. Hope the rest of the repairs go smooth.

Enough was enough of my neighbor leaving his snowmobile on my property this morning. I grabbed hold of it, dragged it across the driveway and put it back where it belongs.
