It's getting sweaty outside. Had a nice rain come through early today and it was 68. Stripped forms on concrete a few minutes ago and got soaked in 5 minutes. I think I'm done being productive for the day.

Got the other half of the shed roof on today. I realized last night that I lapped the metal on the first side wrong so I had to undo a line of screws on each side of the seam and lap it correctly.

Tomorrow they say it will feel like 105f. It's only supposed to be like 96f but I guess with humidity it will feel like that. I have felt some 102f and 103f days. I'm telling you it does not feel like 105f!! Haha IMG_20190817_150726955_HDR.jpg

and NortheastAl , Our first home in was about the price of a new Jeep Scrambler posted about here recently, so an extra zero on your home. 700 sq ft, no garage, 2 acres. It was 35 years old at the time, never should have sold it. Huge regret. I miss the nice weather, the view, the sun in every room all day everyday, and its worth 10X what we paid back in 93'.

Well, sorry to say that the snake did not survive.

It was still alive, but badly injured and needed to be put out of misery.

It was around 16-20" long, was likely a great bug eater.

    Splitter is running fine.

Putting in my work bench. One more support to go.

I am thinking through my head how to get power to this bad boy. I think I will just use a heavy duty extension cord and connect it into the shed wireing and make some home made bamboo power poles to get it over the drive and yard.

Can't trench. There are drain lines/leach field I am 99% sure of between me and the house or a power source so that eliminates the use of buried outdoor Romex that I have had sitting in my closet all these years that I could of used!

I guess that is. Will get tricky with the slab around the back of the house. Then have to trench trough my gravel drive. And remember to never box blade that spot!:picard: Or if I go from my boat shed, I have to go around the garden as it's in a straight line from my boat shed to the new storage shed.

This is not an easy thing here no matter which way you look at it. I will get some pics to show possible routes.

A great day today. Daughter and hubby home safe and sound. Much of my family came down for a pass a dish meal and we all visited. Then we all walked down to camp and played a game of kickball on the hill. Lots of fun.

Do I need to break out the blazing saddles gif? Lol

Yesterday was a lot of fun with my fantasy football draft, and then the crazy races at slamfest at the speedway. We tailgated before the races.

Today doesn't look so nice for boating. Storms and then rain, and then storms.

I've got stuff to do though, so maybe that's best.

Spread fertilizer on food plot this morning ahead of the rain. Rain should have been here by now but is breaking up, as usual. Still looks like we'll get some. Got some last night too. Weather is awfully sticky out there.

Nice this morning on our walk. Then @campinspector took me out for breakfast. Odds and ends to do today and tomorrow my holidays ends with my first day back to work.

What a fun back yard clems! How old is your son now? Oh, and the shed looks cool too, like a blend between my 1967 Detroiter mobile home and 1978 Terry travel trailer.

I took it into my head to build a garage out of pallets. But first I need to save pallets for a while.

    Well, proven once again..
"A failure to plan is to plan for failure"
Don't know who to attribute that quote to.

Got the carb kit this week and started on the Cub Cadet mower carb.

Didn't take 2 things (well 3 really) into account.
    • Need two new o-rings for intake manifold.
    • Kit did not include new o-ring for the fuel shut off solenoid.

So, now I wait for more parts to come in.

Went to town and got got o-ring assortment packs, but no joy.

Not a major issue, but annoying.
    :hair:

    Still, a good day overall.
    :)

For those of you that remember the cooler than sliced bread when Shoe Goo came out, what are your thoughts about clear silicon (on hand in the house) instead of buying Shoe Goo. I have a hardly worn pair of little hiking boots of kiddo's, the heel separated from the boot on one, it'd be nice to pass them on for another kiddo to use.

    No experience in that realm

But it would be nice if someone else can benefit from a pair of barely used boots.
