Dont hit a large rock that sticks out of the ground a bit while watching the side of the deck while cutting close and not watching ahead of you. It will stall the engine and bend one of your brand new blades.....or so I've heard. :headbang:

It's supposed to dump rain at some point tonight. Looks like it will hit around 10 pm. As long as it is all done by early am, I'm ok with that.

It’s been cold wet and windy down here for the past few days, last night it snowed while I was at work and this morning I found that the creek down the road is starting to flood.

    And it’s still raining!

Probably 12-13” over the bridge and I wouldn’t think there would be any critters to worry about it’s too cold for them!

What??? Really? Last time I hauled which was not that long ago steel was still over $5/100 so at your weight I would of thought the steel alone would of brought $25. Cans I thought were like $0.30/lb at least.

Put a new floor in a new to me shed. Original was particle board that had disenegrated over the decades. Previous owner (my neighbor who gave me the shed) had laid 1/4" ply over it and it was not holding up in the worse spots. So I put down new 3/4" ply. Yes there is a few leaks in it. I think they should be temporarily sealed up with silicone before I install a new metal roof over the existing one, but that is not the reason the floor failed. I guess the glues just let go? Inferior product in the wrong application I guess?

This shed is going to be cool. Allow me to store a lot of my stuff that I just have laying around under open sheds. I will build a bench along one side so that I have a place out of the weather to let a project still while being apart or working on in the rain. Cans were .30 / lb, so $2.34 for the cans, the old brass light was .98 and the rest was in the 580 lbs of steel. Not that long ago, that same amount of cans was nearly double that $$ amount. My machinist buddy said that the recycling place that picks up their chip dumpsters said that they were told if prices drop anymore, that the shops are going to have to pay to have the steel recycled.

Party yesterday was great. Rain held off till real late. They had 3 bean bag throws, 3 polish horseshoes and two trash can frisbees. Dil set it up as a tournament. Teams were 2 persons each. And each round you had a different teammate pick by computer. Three rounds total. Everybody had fun. Oh when playing the games you had to be holding a beer or pop at all times.
