Just about finished up with my beater hay wagon. New oak main beams (10”x4”x16’) and new cross members (freebie 2”x4” doubled up). I need to attach the deck to the main beams. I’m gonna use it mostly to move split wood from my log pile to my car port where I have my wood boiler. I just need to buy a tractor to move it with. Had a short shower here and it is really nice now but looks like we'll be having some hot sunshine soon. It surely would be nice though if it would stay like this the rest of the day. I'd probably be outdoors most of the day. Still in the 70's and I see Monday's high temperature forecast at 76. Hooray!

About 80 here. At 6am I check the temp where my boys live and it was 81. I know for the past week they have been running temps around the mid 90s.

Softball tournament in Swansea Mass this weekend with the daughter. Oppressive hot for this today, feel bad for the girls but they keep going. This weather is only good for beer drinking. Good thing it’s only a college showcase and not a normal tournament, 2 games today and we are done until tomorrow.

When my son was on a traveling baseball team we would freeze jugs of then game day (generally dbl headers) we would break open and put the chucks in a cooler. Add a some water and soak a bunch of hand towels in there. That way the team could grab one and put it around their neck to help keep them cooled down.

Tell the better half that if you had a new tractor it would make you more efficient and you would be able to spend more time helping her.

I don't want to hear anything about ankles.

    Mine are slowly getting better.
