Kiddo's birthday today, family party here tonight, then the carnival with her little friends tomorrow :)

My older wireless keyboard battery ran out of juice. I keep a corded keyboard on hand since we live out of town and do not have a office supply store anyway. Plugged it in, seemed to work but extra windows (google help) keep popping up, and a couple were blinking so quickly it locked my computer up. Dug out previous corded keyboard, sometimes ok, other times same trouble.

Just figured it out! I leaned the dead battery wireless up against the bookshelf under my desk, just enough juice left in it so the dogs sleeping under my feet could press keys while leaning against it:rofl:

Oh, and the crop duster plane finally went over last night with mosquito spray :dancer::banana::dex: Let summer begin :)

I now remember why I don't cut wood in the summer. I have a thick layer of sweat and sawdust all over me. Probably going to finish this up tomorrow AM when it is 20 degrees cooler.

My wife had a bad sprain years back and the doctor at the hospital told her it would have been better had it been broken. She was on crutches and wore an Air Cast for four or so weeks, then Physical Therapy. Six weeks before she could go back to work.

btw, for those who had problems getting on the forum yesterday, it was a certificate problem but I was still able to get on. Got hold of Grizzly Adam and he fixed it right away.

Yea you had to click several buttons that said to continue on to site "not recommend or safe" . Something like that. Just more clicks to hit each page , at least for me.

Mosquitoes have been crazy here. Taking a chance on this. Horkn likes his. Got the 1/2 acre model. Smaller than I thought, but we shall see.

Please let us know how it works. With all the rain we had last month the skeeters are out in force. We even have a lot of day biting ones.

We bought one by Black Flag last year and it works wonders. I've had to blow it out with compressed air (no, not me) about 5 times already and when it's dark you can see little fireworks on the wires.
Lots of mosquitoes at first, but now mostly those little white moths. It got a whole bunch of those biting flies too.
Now that the dragonflies are out, the skeeter population seems to have dwindled.
I use an attractant called Octenal (Amazon) that really draws in the bugs.

    Extremely tragic.

I can't imagine that kind of grief.

Hey all!! Work has finally begun to slow down. I'm hoping to get back to checking in on a daily basis. I'm sure I've missed a lot! I hope everyone is doing well!

Wait until tomorrow. And every day after that for the next 10 days. It was perfect here yesterday, now today was warmer, and it's going to be 90 and humid all next week it seems.

It takes a while for them to work. To really gauge their effectiveness, you need to start them up before you see the first skeeter. But, you'll see that you get a lot of skeeters in them.
