If you look close you can see him lounging with one of his buddies right next to where I was working on the loft a week or so back.

When I'm working on the wood yard, I set the fans up on the splitter and one close to where I'm bucking logs...I noticed last Monday how hot it was around the splitter, engine heat and cyclinder heat. Moved the fan behind me, blows heat away. When we're not working, I let the fans blow through the wood stacks, helping drying time.

I can’t believe he hasn’t been eaten yet. And I hope he doesn’t get eaten. We have lost three chickens in the last three months or so. We have a fox living in the area. Our chickens usually ride among free during the day and into the coop at night. But it looks like they are going to have to keep them in the coop. Might have to build a chicken tractor. Ugh

Yesterday was much nicer as far as the weather being comfortable and nice. The day before, it was so humid that my wife got heat stroke. She's all good though after recovering yesterday. About 200 boats anchored in the lake around us last night for fireworks just up from the ferry. I think they were from Devil's Lake.

My buddy and I took the Nautique up the lake to where the river flows into the lake and back. She runs great, but I think I need a new grommet for my valve cover breather that goes to the carb. There's a little whiff of oil burning as that mists/ drips onto the exhaust manifold. That only happens above 2500 rpm though. Which is about 25 mph so no biggie. My raw water pump impeller R&R, circulating water pump hose R&R, and belts are all working as they should.

We'll probably pull the boat out of the lake tonight. She sure sounds good. Not straight pipes, but the little "glass pack" style mufflers with the water cooled exhaust through dual 3" pipes above the water line on place just around great. You can't get any more 'Merica than a classic Nautique.

And when I can ride, I quit in the fall (as soon as hunting season starts) then don't ride outside again until usually May. I'm not a fan at all of riding when it is cold, or even cool for that matter. lol I tried to ride once so far this year and am going to try again but this old body just can't seem to do what it once could.

Hoping the weather clears up after this next rain moves through. Maybe it will also all break up before it gets to us. Temp not bad out there but very muggy.

We're on Lake Wisconsin on the south side across from the Merrimack ferry.

If it is the Devils lake I'm thinking of, used to scuba dive there many years ago. Beautiful up in that area.
