I would take that weather Dennis.
That would be considered a nice day down here in January!

I have been wearing multiple layers even while riding my mountain bike. I’m ready for some warmer weather!

It is incredible what dogs can stand for heat. Especially when you know that they can't cool off like we do. Does her coat get reddish after she has been out in the sun?

Not that I've ever noticed. She does like her shade. We have a yew (i think) bush out front and she has her own little bed that she has made to get out of the sun. We call her bush baby.

Another hot one here today. I slept in for a bit this morning, until almost 8. By the time I had my caffeine and breakfast, then went outside to work it was after 9.

I worked with the chainsaw for about two hours. Taking breaks often. Trimmed up some trees, cut some small saplings, vines, and trees. By then it was too hot for that work anymore. I needed more cold water and a shower. Drenched in sweat and wood chips! Did get some good progress made though.

After a warm/cool shower it was lunchtime. Then I hit my chair and . After a brief nap  I fired up the 310J and turned on the air conditioning and pulled another 5 or 6 stumps and did some leveling off. Slow but sure, it is coming along. 88 out then.

Then the kids wanted to swim. So we took them down to the neighbors house and they had some fun fooling around and swimming in their pool. Great neighbors. We each had one cold beer and talked for a while when we could get a word in between the four kids laughing, yelling, etc. LOL It was about 91 at that time. The water was 79 and felt nice. I went for a quick swim. Then back to the house to visit and get things ready for dinner. My Mom came down and my sister and her granddaughter are staying with us for a week. They are here from Redmond/Bothell Washington area. My great niece is growing like a weed at 13. o_O :BrianK: So are my kids.o_O:BrianK:

After a nice meatloaf and salt potatoes dinner, with some veggies and dip before I was filled right up. Too full to eat the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler they had for dessert. What? So I cleaned up most of the dishes and kitchen and I went to pull another stump and put the backhoe away in the barn.

Unfortunately we are going to get some rain tomorrow. Things were just drying out nice so I could get out on to the trails with the big machine. But it looks like I’ll have to wait for it to dry up again.:picard:LOL

Oh well. I have made some very good progress in the last month by renting that mini-Excavator and using the 310J in the dryer areas. The new loft is built in the last corner of the barn and I also finished the other horse stall just before the new horse Major arrived. I told my wife and neighbors that June went by so fast we need to slow down and enjoy the next two months! MmmHmm

Whoo Hoo! holidays are here. Went down to a local resort and had awesome fish and chips for dinner and then stopped at the ice cream trailer on the way back. Summer is great.

Yes. Most of the time he can be seen lounging around, hind feet layed out behind him and chewing on some tasty grass or weed he pulled and brought into the shade to snack on. LOL It is quite comical to see the home this bunny has here for himself. He thinks he is a chicken. But they are the only family he has ever known. We have been hoping he hooks up with one of the local wild rabbits. He eats horse hay when he needs to, chicken feed. Drinks the chicken or cats water. Etc

Got to love that. He must be a domestic rabbit. Glad he hasn't been eaten by some predator. Wife saw a fox in the road in front of our home today. Rabies has been reported twice in our town this year. Son saw a fisher cat while out walking his husky on the power line.

yea the guessers were wrong here. Went out late. Got there , wasn't supposed to be but like 20% chance of rain. A thunderstorm rolls up as we pull up to the beach. Make a run for the bridge and I fight 20 mph headwinds and pouring rain. Wind was so strong reverse was useless the pontoon was just pushed around. Bottom was too soft and anchor was just dragging. I'd that for about an hour n a half. Rain was blowing under bridge. Made a run the 6 miles or so back to ramp in the lighter rain before the next cell came over.

Here is a pic of the depthfinder prior to the downpour. Hard to see but It says 53ft and 91f. IMG_20190705_164221013.jpg
