Early ones ripen mid June and other varieties from July almost to September.

It does look like tree of heaven. If it is it's an invasive. That's the genus of it. Tree of heaven is the common name I know it by.

They are coming to my city 2 more times this year. I told my wife. 25 lbs of peaches is a lot, but we'd probably freeze or can a bunch.

Some good progress made today with my son working with me most of the day. First thing we went to my Mom’s and he cut her grass, while I did the weed whacking. Then I installed her three air conditioners. One in her bedroom and two downstairs.

Then I went to work on cutting up trees and he loaded the rounds and brought them back to be processed later. When it started to get pretty hot in the afternoon I told him to take another break with me. And when I went back to work I let him take it easy while I went to work with the J.D. 310J. The bugs are crazy back there but the air conditioned cab means I don’t have to deal with them or the heat anymore. This lets me work anytime I want and get more done! So I pulled about 7 or 8 stumps and either buried them or set them on top of a burn pile. Time to rest as I have to work a little O.T. tomorrow morning to help pay down said debt!

Summer weather is really here, finally! Aerial bug spray next week hopefully so we don't have to soak up in mosquito spray.

Looks like some Hoarders are on summer vacations, I hope you are having a blast :)

Doing my first oil change on my truck. Looks super easy. 15 mm socket, a wix gold filter, and I've got 10 qts of Mobil 1 5w20. It doesn't look like I need to take any guards or shields off or Jack the vehicle up like with my Audi. It also looks like I don't need to be a contortionist like I do on the 4runner to change the oil filter.

While changing the filter was easy on the Audi, the drain plug was a pita to get to. The 4runner is easy once you get the contortionist move figured out, provided you don't drop the full oil filter in the skid plate and make a huge mess.

    We'll see.......

Done, and all cleaned up. The drain plug was on tighter than I've ever seen one, but it came off and rethreaded easily. The oil filter was in pretty loose. Looser than I've ever seen one on. That said, it didn't leak, and the oil filter isn't the easiest to get to by hand, well with the air dam on, stock size tires, and stock FX4 suspension. I'll buy a cup filter wrench, which will really speed things up and make things easier. Now I gotta get the oil reminder reset. Time to rtfm....

I don't have an ID for that plant, but looking up pictures of ailanthus, your plant doesn't seem to have the reddish stem that the pictures show.
I think he's talking about the Permithrin - cats and that stuff do not get along.

fishingpol look it up but IIRC permethrin is only toxic to cats in liquid form, once it dries on whatever it is you are treating, clothes, dogs etc it shouldn't bother them, also there is a natural form of permethrin derived from chrysanthemums (pyrethrin) that is less toxic.

I will look into that. The difficult part is my son is all over the house and yard. He will go outside for a while, sit in the living room, his room, etc. Too much hassle changing clothes many times. He has to get in the habit of more checking. Thank you for the tips everyone.

We usually get 2 bushels every year. We eat lots of them fresh but freeze the rest and then eat them off and on all year.

No need to change clothes . Pyrethrin is not toxic to humans. If he is doing that he is spreading ticks possibly anyway.

Be conscious of ticks but don't let that rule your world. I live in the south where the threat of ticks is from March/April through December. If in a bad spot use one of the sprays. That said don't stress about it. Come in take a shower etc and go on with life. You usually can feel them start to attach cause it will itch. Just rub those areas or use a nail to find those small ones, you usually can barely see them. And like be I have freckles everywhere so it's not like they stick out.
