Everyone in Lowe's has a hole in the larger diameter 1.5" threads?? These were male threads. So I glued a female 1.25" threaded fitting to my PVC pipe and threaded the anti drain back valve on and this of course left the larger 1.5" threads above it not used which was where this hole was? Which caused water to shoot out 6ft across the basement. Now yes I should of put the valve lower on the pipe to reduce the amount of water that ran back into the sump after it cut off, but I didn't but no matter where the valve was vertically it still would be shooting out water? I went back and got the more expensive one with rubber slip over ends with clamps on top and bottom and called it good.

We went out to the lake, knowing that we'd probably have to book it off the lake due to a t storm. Well they were right. Crazy gusts of wind, with rain, no hail, and we all got off the lake. Yes, we got soaked, but all good.

The boat runs perfectly though. It's all set for Wednesday-sunday at the lake house we rented.

Not sure what that's about, never seen it, serves no purpose...sounds like defective product.
Those rubber ones work...I just don't like them because they offer little pipe Support.

It's probably an anti siphon/ relief valve/ squirt gun thing.

But it will squirt all over your basement or wherever the sump it. Even if it was so low it was I. The sump the pressure would cause it to splash all over. Once the water fell below that level which if it was the lowest thing wouldn't be long, I just didn't want to hook the rubber joint down that low cause I didn't want to work under water, in nasty algae water.

Maybe it started that way...but someone forgot the check valve in it...can't just have an open hole...

I wish I would of took a picture of it. But it was like 10:30 last night I was pizzed cause I got it in and there was a hole in it. Took it out this morning, returned it and got a proper one without a random hole.

Here it is. The hole must be on the other side of the pic or there not showing it? But the 1/8" or so hole was in the middle of that larger set of threads on the bottom half. The flow goes up,o how it's pictured here. Screenshot_20190630-164014.png

Managed to get 17 quarts canned and 6 quarts frozen.
Maybe a pain now, but you all will be jealous when I open a jar come January.
Veggies on the grill and T-Bones heading that way.

I'm on my way, you need a taste tester before you get to far....

Taste tester for the Peaches? I think I have passed the point of no return. T-Bones? You are more than welcomed on both.

Same here. I headed in a few minutes earlier than I planned at my wife’s suggestion, and it was perfect timing. The wind picked up quickly as I approached the dock with the Bimini top up. Missed my slip and got turned sideways in a second.
