Are you sure they are going bankrupt? At my old house, the mortgage got passed around every 2 years or so - but not because banks went bankrupt. Some were smaller banks just wanting to get the cash flow, some were large banks that who knows why they sold (not like we missed payments and they were trying to get rid of deadbeats). Or sometimes when they are getting aquired by another bank, some of the assets are sold. I think ditech and Ocwen are still around, maybe just trimmed down?

Just got back from our daughter's place in Ucluelet. It is starting to get busy with tourist over there. Her choir put on an excellent concert. The kind you don't want it to end. Came home to rain trying to start. Oh, do we need it. Driest spring in a long time.

 

I’d be concerned that it’s mother was killed by a car. It is very unusual for a mama deer to let you get close to her young. I had a baby deer I saw in the morning with it’s mom and in the afternoon the baby was close to the roadside again with no mama in sight. I walked up to it and out of the Bush came mama. Got a good snort off at me and I backed off. If you see the deer again and it is alone I would call a wild animal rehab place or something of that sort. Around here our vet takes any wild animals if they are injured and will get them well again. In this case the fawn is probably still on mother's milk.

 

yup. Mortgages get sold all the time. It usually goes crazy if interest rates fall as some banks make a nice profit by selling a mortgage than what they lent out. The buyer just has to wait longer to cash in on that higher interest rate that you were originally sold at. Ours got sold three times.

There is a little something not many people know. If your mortgage gets sold, sometimes the paperwork gets lost in the process and the bank can’t foreclose unless they produce the original mortgage agreement. People have milked many years in a foreclosed home. Don’t know if it’s the same in all states.

I got a letter today from my lemdee telling me that my insurance wasnt renewed when it ran out last week, threatening to purchase insurance and bill me for it. Two letters down in the pile is a cancellation notice because my lender didnt pay the bill.

 

I called them to ask WTF? And the recording told me I was current until next year, so they paid it after sending the letter

 

The stress you don't need, eh! Errors like that drive me up the wall.

 

The main thing is to do the best you can. It’s never going to be easy. Try to avoid getting sucked into the drama and let them know you love them.

 

Right? How can you send me a letter telling me my insurance isn't current when its YOUR JOB to pay my insurance?

 

I hate to generalize but financial service companies are rife with incompetence. Best way to pull them up short is to get them to commit to something on a recorded line.
