I woke up wide awake at 3:30. Just catching up on FHC and few other things. I get to work around 6 and am off today at 3. If it is dry enough in the yard and garden it should be a good afternoon to catch up on some weeding and a little planting left to do.

    Or working, lol.

Beautiful morning here. It stormed overnight, and the lawn is looking extra green from the lightning. I got my weedwacker running again, so I got the lawn all trimmed. I suspect it's time for a replacement carburetor. There's a walbro on it, but it's been problematic since shortly after being bought new. All the carbs I saw on Amazon for Ryobi weedwackers were $15-20. It's easier to change the carb than rebuild the carb and buy a carb kit.

Depends what time zone you are in. Good Morning Eric VW

Cloud cover/fog never really dissipated yesterday but campinspecter got the lawns mowed. If we lived 10 miles inland, there would have been sun all day. I hope this isn't an indication of what our summer will be like.

No Internet connection this morning. But as you can see, it came back.

We had a beautiful surprise this morning when a doe brought a fawn up by the house. We love it! I'd guess it is less than a week old; still a bit wobbly.

We had another really nice surprise when suddenly we have whip-poor-wills again. We used to have several of them but probably about 15 years ago they suddenly disappeared. I hope they stick around now as we love to hear them.

DSC03489.JPG DSC03490.JPG DSC03491.JPG DSC03492.JPG Nice day today with temps in the 60's, perfect to get some splitting done. I got 3 trailer loads split of red and white oak with a few pieces of elm. I got 2 trailer load of shoulder season wood split and stacked in the shed. Only got pics of the oak and elm.

When we rebuilt our house into two living areas, we found many issues with the copper pipes brought on my acidic well water. So we had all the pipes removed and replaced with pex. Total new heating system installed as well as a water softener. (not the salt type) I have severe blood pressure issues so salt is out. My thoughts are to fix the hard water or all the other fixes will be waiting failures. My home was built in 1975. So far, I replaced about everything except some window and the exterior wall. All the floors, kitchen, all plumbing fixtures, most electrical stuff. doors, in and out. We added a two level garage, a double insulated porch, a solar space for growing, new siding, fireplace, kitchen and so on.

Good Morning... :coffee: ... Got quite a bit done yesterday on the day off... Got a little wood moved, got one downspout outlet cleaned up so its running smoother, finally got the basement door pathway door fixed, and welded Dad up three fishing pole holders.... Will have to see what Today leads too... I see we missed the rain yesterday, but its not looking like that will happen today....
