Missing so much on FHC. Not enough time to read it all. Will have to try to have an FHC marathon reading event some rainy day.

That reminds me of a few springs we had up north of Grand Marais, MN in the early 90s. I keep a detailed phenology journal that now encompasses over 30 years of data. I recorded one year when we had a low of at least 28f in early July inland from lake Superior that wiped out a number of plants in my garden. That was the last year I tried growing tomatoes up that way. It is not unusual up there to have lilacs in bloom for the fourth of July, especially down by the big lake.

I had a couple of recliners I bought from Sears a few years back. They were bonded leather. Within a year the bonded leather started bubbling up and separated from the fabric backing. I got rid of the chairs because they had become an eyesore. Expensive lesson. Never buy bonded leather. There is only a hint of surface material, whatever that is. My wsa so thin, it was like crepe paper.

That is why today was dedicated to family. We all hung together today. Went to a new shoe store in town because all three kids needed new sneakers. Shoe Dept. Encore it is called. Found some decent deals. All three happy and wife even found herself a new pair of shoes for work. Then took them all to lunch. We all had a fun day.

We had a bit of snow. More fell, but melted.

I cleared some off before I snapped this pic.

    It's still barely snowing.

Parts of SE Wisconsin reported over 6" and that was several hours ago, like 5:30 pm. It is a very wet heavy snow.

Good morning. Breakfast with my father here. A quick visit with Mom when she gets up. Then it will be off to the workhouse. Have a good day!

Don't they have something like a 90% tax rate on the extremely wealthy there?

That movie we watched last night, LIFE, was a crazy one. My son and I enjoyed it though.

That looks so sad! Will you have a woodstove ready for next winter? Buy kiln-dried? Or will you go this way? LzIfEcQ.jpg

Morning.. Got some rain today so it should help the driveway a bit more. :) The great news is the well wont run dry for a while. Speaking about water our pump quit again yesterday. I call him up and left him a message thinking Id never hear back from him. Im glad I did and said he would take care of it tomorrow and I hope he does. I was able to get it working but need to turn it off when its not needed. Not a big deal just a pain in the butt. Got to get out in the shop and do some more sanding. Good day to you.

Mornin. Busy weekend outside. Did some yard cleanup on Saturday, then planted my butt on the porch for a while and just enjoyed the weather. Yesterday I put up a fence around the propane tank to make my wife happy. Few trips to tractor supply and home depot for supplies filled in the rest of the day.

Now a rainy Monday to remind me that I still haven't cleaned the gutters. :headbang:

Weekends were much more enjoyable as a tenant

The plan is for a new class A installed in one of two locations. I'm bringing the Castine if needed this winter, but i would eventually like to have a Woodstock Fireview in place.

There is a lot of dead standing, and I can start processing at anytime. I will have room for cords upon cords. There is a cluster of dead pine leaners that should be interesting to remove, and one hemlock that are hazards to kick off the hoarding. I did see some maple down too. The wood storage shed will be pretty OK too. It will be a busy year.
