    Got home last night with a load in the dump trailer- just finishing letting it back down and the the tornado sirens go off. Do not know where it was spotted. but I am about in the middle of WI's tornado alley. Not so windy today - rain / snow for Sun. A nice Monday and then rain all week, yuck.

    Afternoon peoples. Beautiful day today. Got some work done outside. I finally finished my leaf cleanup from last fall. Well, all.except where the snow piles are at least. Flushed way too long worth of nasties out of the hot tub, and now I'm sitting on the front porch watching the birds. It's gonna be a BBQ kinda night

    Cleaned up my tree tops from cutting a Black Locus up and mowed the back 3/4 acre.

    Picked up my car at the repair shop. I need it repaired to go to Backwoods Savage's GTG. GTG is getting very expensive and we will be eating mac & cheese with a few hot dogs every other day for the rest of the month. .
    Rear brakes, pads calipers and rotors and the rest of their BS (fluid line flushing and the like}
    Front wheel bearings with brake pads and assembly. (what ever that is)
    Oil change and the rest of the BS (oil disposal)
    I think I got ripped off. $1367 Don't think I will go back there.

    Out side temperature *64 and inside *65. My 92 year old mother lives with us and is cold. "Mom you are going to have to live with it and put on more clothes." She is worst than my wife. Set a small fire.
    It has already cost me around $40/month to maintain her bedroom at *82 all winter, but it is my mom. Come on women. Move around.

    It was a great day to be outside, sun and clouds, in the low 70's. I split some red maple in the morning, then cut some scrounged birch and dry oak, then split the same. Tomorrow I babysit, so I wanted to make the most of the day. Now relaxing with a beer.

    Cleaned up the garage today after a week of renovation work going on in one of the bathrooms. Can't do any yard work as we still have a yard filled with 18" of snow.
    Now they are saying another 2-4" inches of snow tomorrow afternoon into monday morning. Winter can PI$$ off any time now. Enough is enough.....:hair: :headbang::headbang:

    Won’t include a pic of how green it is here or talk about Fire Flake already mowing...:whistle:

    Probably get a cold snap near the 3/4 mark of April and be unhappy about it, but of course the temps will rebound quickly. Been enjoying 60-70° F daytime for a couple weeks so far.

    Sorry for the brag, Rotti....:confused:

    About 7’ in diameter, maybe 9’ tall. There’s blooms on EVERY single branch.

    Thank God the humidity burned off! I'm sitting on the porch while the charcoal gets going enjoying a beer as well. I just noticed that the grass is starting to grow. Tomorrows mission is going to be dragging the ride on mower into the shop and seeing if I can fix it. Had a valve stick last fall, so i just parked it. New boat is going to encroach in mower funds.

    Well Dave, about the only way I'd "buy" that is if she twisted your arm, then you opened your mouth to say "stop that" or "ouch" and then she slapped another brownie in ya.
    :eek::flipeggs:

    I would be OK with Chazsbetterhalf doin that.
    :drool::drool:

    Not like she would, or has to.

    Hey, I know the feeling about your mom. Mine is 92 also, still lives by herself, next to us, able to keep her Fisher stove cranking. She lives in a cement block house, so not much insulation. Burns a ton of wood, but I'm glad I still have her. I just grin and bear it, cut more wood.

    Pretty sure that was a test. My wife and I heard the siren while having dinner out. My wife told me about the test.

    Locally they test the tornado sirens every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:50 am, throughout the summer...

    I drove down to northern Illinois to buy a craftsman GT with a kohler magnum 18 in it. That engine will go into my ariens GT17.

    I moved some wood with it. It runs pretty good.

    Dang southern temps anyway! Its way too early to even talk about cutting grass! I haven't even thought about putting away the snowblower and shovels yet! Heck, the snowbrushes are still kept between the drivers door and drivers seat in our vehicles!

    I told 99 this evening that I'll probably shut down the OWB this time next month.

    Lucky dogs!
