So if I pile up junk along the walls I don't leave something sticking out far enough where I'd back into it.

We went up to Bray's this evening to partake of some food, the boss was to an ice cream social while I finished up the refrigerator pickle making for this year. Tomorrow I might hay the lawns.

Just dropped off the truck at the shop for shocks and struts on friday.
Tonight I went through the Woodstock IS manual, 37 pages of woodstove
perfection. I made a few notes and will take the measuring tape out tomorrow
    to check the install numbers.
    This Patriots-Giants game is boring

Cologne el chité. Since the smell going away it's probably not the chicken variety that stuff will stink till a good rain.

We had the hottest day of the summer yesterday. But today is another story. Feels much cooler. Air is clean and fresh. Dogs were anxious to get back in from their last pm let out.

Wet, wet weekend coming. Going out to stack the 2 1/2 cords of sugar maple I split with new splitter yesterday before the rains come.

Bringing my oldest to college tomorrow, we are having a family day, she has worked most every evening of the summer. I asked her what she wanted for supper, here is what she chose

Day 5 of vacation / projects week.

Started off continuing to prep the upstairs for paint. Took down the attic door and the stair railing, masking taped the floor perimeter, draped all the furniture and put down dropcloths. Then TSP scrubbed every surface, and finally started painting with a primer coat on the trim.

Next up I have to do some patching of various cracks in the drywall and scrape old paint off the window frames before doing another spot prime and then maybe start to put up paint... and then there are all those doors and windows to tackle.. but that will have to wait for another day.

By this time it was pushing 3 so I called it a day and mowed the lawn.

Tomorrow I'm gonna take a break, and off to my usual. Maybe get back to paint Sunday?

    Speaking of beer

    Shiner.JPG

Tried this today after splitting a bunch of beech and and a little birch. Didn't have to work too hard, but do I need an excuse to indulge? :drunk:Not often that we get TX beer in VT, and the Oktoberfest has me in the mood for burning.;)

Welcome to the site macpolski, and from this post and your confessed woodaholic ways I'm sure you've found a good home here!
