I had strep a few weeks ago and it put me DOWN. I got a shot and oral AB's and it still took 6 days to get over it. Hope it works out better for you.

I am going to be real sexist here and say "just like a man". Light duty was probably only c/s/s a half a cord instead of one cord. Mowing only 1/2 the lawn instead of the whole thing. Rest up and get better, Gasifer. You will get over it quicker!!!

Wow! You are a very accurate sexist Woodwidow! :DLOL But I only stacked about 1/3 of a cord of wood today though. I had split it yesterday when I felt like dog . . . . LOL Now after I stacked that I took a long break and a good "lay down" as my old friend use to call them. Then I went out and mowed just about 1/3 of the lawn that I did not finish the other day. Then I started feeling worse and went in for another lay down. :emb: Thanks. And I will rest up. When you wake up in the morning, all the ibuprofen is out of the system, and not only your throat hurts when you swallow, but your ears also, you know you need to take it easy. :emb: But, one can only sit still for so long, then it is time to get a movin. :)

I like the feeling of fall but sometimes too much fall too early is a longer winter

OK, just got back from finishing a small job. I think I'm going to tackle the three replacement windows I picked up on the tax free holiday this past weekend. Peace of mind knowing the drapes won't be moving everytime I hear a stiff breeze outdoors. :)

I need to start thinking about Pellet supply for the camp. I found it to be a lot of cleaning/time this past winter. Most due to poor pellets available around here, and first year learning curve.

I'm going to burn the rest of my Green "Supreme" pellets in my Gassification boiler a little at a time this winter. They are supreme to no other pellets I burned. Lesson learned.

I did find that the Curran Softies burned very well in my stove and only created a nice dry, lightweight ash.

All pellets are not equal, is that the first year lesson you learned? Now 'plain why the big boxes think they are.

I want to say I had heard on a forum somewhere, not sure if it was this one or the 'other' one. Some guys were mixing in some pellets with their splits in the woodstove and getting decent results. Anyone hear of this?

I have mixed some of the pellets I bought last year, that I did not like, with cord wood in my boiler. They seem to burn just fine. I will be getting rid of some of them like this again. I never tried burning them in my wood stove.

Not that it will snow in the near future, but tonight is the night we start the sleds up weekly.
