I'm going to have to search the web as UVM had their first lacrosse game today. It was a hilarious photo because outside of the field of play they had people snowshoeing around the edge of the field. Saw it when we were out to dinner.
Well, they are back from their holiday. Dogs have settled in but won't let campinspecter out of their sight. Road was good and we had a nice visit with our daughter and her husband. Did a little shopping and came home.
After watching the weather forecast for the week, I decided to pull my spear shack off the lake today. With all the snow and drifting t is hard enough now to drive out there with a truck, but if the potential higher amounts of snow predicted happen through next weekend it will shut that option down.
So now I get to listen to my rack knocking on my cab as I drive down the road...... I miss the Suzuki.
A day off today so I am going over to see Mom. Do a few chores for her. Looks cold outside with below freezing temps. I think it is supposed to rain tomorrow.
Glad the Supervisors are back. My home just seems incomplete when one of ours is not here. Bundle up and stay warm WW
Car people, what can you tell me about a 2003 Mazda MVP? Those engines go a few hundred thousand miles? Expensive to repair? Good= gas, so engine will heat up faster than icebox duramax/red, will heat up in sun for me Not good= low to ground, will feel like my buttocks are almost dragging on the asphalt Mazda Van Do people still take it to mechanics for a check before buying these days?
Enjoying a sunny day. Good radiant heat with it too even if it is not above freezing. But still can't work in woods. Missing it.
It was a little hairy getting the truck and trailer with spear shack turned in the deep snow to get back onto to a plowed ice road. I had to build up some speed and make a really wide turn while carrying some speed through deep drifts without tipping the trailer, but the old Toyota Tundra got the job done once again. Yes slush could become an issue, even with 27" of good clear ice on the lake. Anyone up for another tangent?..this time regarding Toyota pickups and slush on lakes...
Found a place that is mobile, will come out and do the inspection on site for $50 Said they do not need to put it up on a rack but then how to they check the struts and all the other stuff underneath? Also looking into options to get the Blazer up to speed or options to get the duramax warmer for me. Idk. Looks like a few grand to keep this gumby warm whichever option.
Does a Diesel take allot of time to throw any heat. Never had one but friend has a old Dodge and had to block off part of the grill when its real cold.
Weather in the teens, sunny, and no wind today. Took the opportunity to combine a couple shorts rows into one. Also split a couple wheelbarrow loads with the fiskars. It was a good day. Got to be outside with my three best friends--my dogs!
