Might get a little snow Sunday night and Monday then again Wednesday. Supposed to stay chilly but not really cold for the next week.

First of March is less than 2 weeks away now! Days definitely getting longer. Well after 6:00 at night we can still see outdoors. I noticed it again last night around 6:20 that we could still see good. Of course the white ground does helps some on this too. And now we don't have to wait until 8:00 in the morning to see daylight.

After climbing onto the roof, it was decided that the other side of the garage should be done once again. (99 was up there and made that decision!)

So, one more trip up there for the snow and then the sides will "match". This is the other side that was done 2 weeks ago.

Spend the day over at my buddy's house. He has a large house with a multi dimensional roof. Due to the high winds and 16" of snow on top of the seasonal accumulation, he had drifts over 4' deep in the valleys. His snow blower died so I took the Bota' over and spent the day cleaning up the mess as he pushed it off. We have about another 2 hours worth tomorrow morning. We have already had 4 roof collapse's in the area this week. A lot of folks in this area are in for major problems if they soon don't do something about their roofs. God forbid it warms up or rains in the next little while. I had hired 2 young lads to do mine earlier this week. My days of playing on roofs are over for sure. We just got home from the move. I am so relieved to have them settled in their home well before the baby is due.

It is actually the home my son-in-law's mother grew up in, so the family connection with all 6 of the aunts and uncles, and all of their families is very strong. It has been in the family now since the late 40s and very well maintained.

A lot of the family came to help out as well. In fact some of them are very skilled builders/tradesmen and tore out the old carpet in the baby's room and are planning to sand and finish the hardwood flooring. It is such a blessing to have such a nice large combined family for our daughter..

    Eeeewwwww!

WWW picked up a salad for me at Papa Murphy's, always fresh and crisp and a treat for me. Took out some lettuce then some fixings just the way I like it, sat down ready for a yummy bite and noticed a hair on my fork reflecting in the light from my computer screen:hair:. Pulled it out, not mine, not kiddos, too long to be WWW's or from one of our dogs. Ugh, I cannot eat it now, just, ewwww. Darn, it looked delicious.

Hopefully all of the inflammation goes away quickly. Sometimes NSAIDS help, but I guess you already knew that. Good luck and feel better.

Well that's one way to lose weight. Lose your appetite.

I was changing tv channels today and this caught my eye. Our couch is not new, guessing 1980's ? Holy cow I think it's the same darn fabric on the cushion in this tv show. Top pic is tv show bottom pic is my couch cushion. IMG_20190216_120938224.jpg IMG_20190216_120927943.jpg

No worries NortheastAl , we have plenty of food here, just was looking forward to the salad. And yes, I did contemplate eating it anyway , just couldn't do it.

I've eaten so much "other stuff" (dirt, bugs, pet hair, feathers etc) that I don't even blink at a strangers human hair in my food (okay, I do blink). I just pull it out and go about my business. But, I can see how it could be off-putting to others.

Clear, cold and below freezing today. We are heading down island to pick up the dogs. They spent a week at our daughters and it has been really quiet around here. campinspecter was going to get them earlier in the week but the weather elsewhere has been miserable with roads being hazardous. Long weekend for us as it is Family Day holiday tomorrow.
