You ain't a kidding there, brother! Woke up on a Sat morn years back and had snow piled up 36" against the patio door on the deck! :jaw::bug::hair:

The snow was so deep that as I plowed, it would flow over the top of the snow blade!

I was going to get wider path one as well, but I figured the bigger it was, the less chance that my wife would ever use it. Well, she still has never used it, and I know that she won't. Eh. :salute:

We've had crazy storms and it's performed admirably. I'm sure it will work great for you.

Because I bought the 24", it also fits on our narrow walkway to the back patio. the 26" would have been a pita for that.

I'm hoping the sunshine melts some of the ice.
Our yard is extremely icy. I even fell last night on the patio getting the Weber grill out. Luckily I know how to fall, and only have a minorly bruised cheek. I won't be getting any firewood from our lower stacks until we either get snow to give some grip, or it melts. If you can barely stand, there's no way to pull a sled or the gorilla cart p the small incline.

    Here too :D
Doing a great job on my drive!! of course 2 yards of sand / Salt mix is not hurting that any..

I hope the bruises heal. I took a digger with ice spikes on.. I also am going out to get splits from the back in the sunshine.. Kubota does not care if its icy as it has chains;) you know its bad when the dog fails when she goes outside to do her business!!

For sure. Around here, no matter where you go, driveways and gravel roads are solid ice; thick ice. Will take some time to get rid of this and no big warm-up in sight. Hurry March and April!

Was talking to a neighbor and he said on the farm report that the prediction is for mostly below normal temperatures until around April 1 and then much above normal temperature. Maybe we'll have an early mosquito hatching? That would not please anyone...

Did you ever wonder just why he has those GTG's in the spring? Some sort of a human sacrifice to those blood sucking hoards......I wonder! :smoke:

This past fall we got the Ariens Platinum SHO track 28 and it is a beast. My wife never used the last snow blower we had so getting one she could use wasn't considered. It is a beast. I even got to use the heated handle grips once and it was OK.
    I love the electric start.

I have the HD branded Ariens 28". Before I ordered it I made sure it would fit thru the fence gates and up the ramp to the back door (just barely - but that is all I need). I figured I could horse the old, old Craftsman around, so shouldn't have any issue with the Ariens (or at least it wouldn't be any worse). I figure if I have to really wrestle with it, I'm doing something wrong and not letting it do enough of the work, which I will admit is sometimes a failing of mine (not letting machines, tools do enough of the work). Or, I'm attacking a problem area from the wrong angle and need to readjust my strategy. Size and physical strength is not nearly as big a factor as many people would have you believe on a lot of stuff.

Now if one doesn't "want to" and someone else is "willing to", that is a whole 'nother story and entirely between the consenting parties ;)

Back in 2005 we had a blizzard here, one of the worst I've been out in. I went put for the first run through of our accounts at about midnight. There was some deep drifts in my driveway, and it was only about 10' wide. House on one side, fence on the other. I've never seen such a massive pile of snow moving in front of a blade!

I actually went down again in the early afternoon. This ice is ridiculous. :hair:

Again, no harm done, but still. This happened while I was spreading ice melt.

Got talking to one of me and dad's best friends yesterday morning by the pond, he's is under the impression there's 4 of these going up.......2 partially done so far, and work is steady. I was wondering if there was more coming, the space is there.

Far cry from what was there not long ago, but it was time. Better the land be used than have 2 old foundations just sitting there.

The gas station's move, on the other hand, seems to be held up for reasons unknown to me..

Light snow coming down. Made some peanut butter cookies for my brides dad.

Heading to church soon. They got me reading for the congregation today. Unfortunately for them they did not specify what language I had to read it in.

Can anyone help me with some Italian translations :)

Heading out to the Legion pancake breakfast after that.

    Have a good one everyone.
