Was at work 2 hours and they closed

 

Brought another 3/4 cord of wood up to the house. Along with the 1/4 cord I already have up here, that ought to get though Feb. Fingers crossed as I only have a cord more ready for this year.
20% chance of a little rain tonight. After that no rain in sight until Sun. night. Temps are suppose to be pressing 50* Sat. and Sun.
Planning on stacking the rest of the splits I have piled up tomorrow and then split a few rounds.
Looks like a great next 4 days to fell and buck. I have at least 4 or 5 Ash, and one Black Locus I feel comfortable felling. Bucking, splitting and stacking that should keep me busy for a while.

I brought a half cord up to the house tonight, as the bin was 3 sticks from empty and we're supposed to get some sort of snow tonight. Leaves me with about 1.5 more in the shed. As long as we dont have any deep freezes I should be ok.

 

Caffeine! Ugh. Did not want to get out of bed to snow on the ground. Need to take my youngest to basketball practice for 8am. Then back home to do a quick workout and then off to the enjoyment center. I see the workout will include cardio work of shoveling snow.

 

And we're contiguous to ya, so we’ll go down just as fast, maybe sooner, as Cuomo now has the entire state legislature in his hands. He said he wants to make NY the most progressive state in the union. Mass exodus to begin shortly.

 

Trying to figure out how to put a "fireplace" in our living room. I use that term loosely...more like a fireplace looking something. There will be no actual fire, most likely. My only option for actual fire would be a ventless propane gas log setup, but I hate those because they smell and put too much humidity in the air. I don't really have a way to install a vent without this turning into a MAJOR project that I really don't have the appetite for.

I think I'm going to just install a *gasp* electric insert for ambiance. Makes me feel kinda dirty putting one of these in though.

 

I just saw this was delivered yesterday. I got home from Chicago at midnight last night. After we get the steaks we bought yesterday vacuum sealed, I'll set it up.

 

Nice! Let us know how you like it. I’ve never used one before but may consider getting one in the future with the amount of clean up/cutting I have to do on my property.

I'm sending some info to a local company my SIL works with about coating some aluminum wheels with CBN. The pink wheels will have to make due til I get those blanks made up and sent out.

 

I have one, Gas. They work awesome but you wear your chains out a lot quicker even being careful while sharpening. Also you need to be very careful about heat build-up as you can "burn" a chain if you aren't quick enough. They are precise though.
