My pond is iced over, still keeping my 4 degrees warmer than up on the main road 1/3 of a mile away though. It's a balmy 17F now.

Interesting!!!! Called lowes and it looks like I can get a refund on the washer!! We'll see, 90 day return policy and I am on day 92. Only problem is getting it back there. WWW said NO WAY. But, a truck will come out here for an order over $300 and can pick it up for free. We need another door for the new dog yard, hmmm, lets see how this turns out.

Very busy time of the year for him, I'm sure. Probably taking advantage of the mild weather.

Afraid not, from Sears. I had no idea I might be able to get a refund.
That said, I put it for sale here for $400. Not one bite. We'll see what happens, he might take it back, but unlikely, I'd like to get that $750 back! I did not realize a refund was an option :picard:

Not requiring the $300 min order for delivery out here :)

We started out with a used late 90s set. (Frigidaire ) That washer tore up on us in a year. Then I got a second hand one that was in the 00s (I think it was a whirlpool??) it lasted less than 5 years. Then i bought my buddies extra out of his rental, but it was only used a few dozen times before it was removed and put into his garage, then he sold to me. Was a mid line top loader kenmore, it lasted 3 years. Now I am about one year into a mid level top load whirlpool (no agitator). This is the first one to tear up stuff. I hope it lasts more than 3 years. At 5 I will be somewhat satisfied but still disappointed . Nothing lasts 20 to 30 years anymore.

I have had the frigidaire dryer kind of go out. It just I guess never cut off, the sensor went out. I never tried to fix it. It got hot to touch and would burn stuff. I got a used one from my cousin. Not sure how old it was at the time? I bet it's easy over 10 years. The motor went out on it like 4 years ago maybe more. I bought a new motor and bearingS and replaced it, since I figured new stuff dint last and even with rushed shipping I had less than $100 into the repair.

A few guys were out ice fishing yesterday on clear ice. I usually wait until there is a snow cover or cloudy day. I'm sure the fish could see every movement topside. Maybe cabin fever set in early for them.

Is it different from fishing in a boat, where they see you moving around? Haha

The glass gasket dropped in two places on the stove the other day. Secondaries were not too active with the air leaks.

    20181210_144018.jpg

I picked up a new gasket at the stove shop. I pulled the glass gasket off and with little effort it pulled loose. Where it was stuck on was pretty secure.

Turns out the shop gave me a door gasket. I ended up changing both out after a trip to the hardware store for some smaller gasket. The stove is running very good now.

You can throw a cast a good distance away from a boat.

Spent a couple hours helping neighbor get an old pickup camper out of his woods. Was in pretty bad shape time we got it onto his trailer. Then I went into our woods to do some cutting. Didn't end up doing much. Body super tired so decided to quit as that is when accidents tend to happen and we don't need that. Will rest the rest of the day and maybe even tomorrow.
