IMG_7465.JPG IMG_7461.JPG IMG_7463.JPG I am a little pizzed I'm cutting in the snow already. And it's been so wet, the trails that are usually dry about this time have small ponds in them and I don't want to turn them into mud bogs with the 4 wheeler, so I've been holding off cutting. At this point I think the best I can hope for is a thaw of the snow, followed by a good freeze. I did take the 550 for a walk. Took 4 smaller oaks from one area, 3 of them standing dead. And I nice Ash blowdown.

I love cutting in the snow. However, it's best when the ground is frozen, which it sounds like it's not yet. Do you have a sled to tow behind the ATV?

    No sled......yet!
The ATV's not a fan of the snow either unless it packed like a fire road.
And the ground isn't quite frozen. It had an inch or two of frost before the snow. I think that's just thawing out now that it's blanketed. And it's saturated!

Once the ground sets up and freezes, a set of v bar chains on the rear tires helps out a lot.

Oh, we all dance well enough if a tree starts dropping even a little off from how we want it to go.

Just received my Certificate of Enlightenment from YouTube Academy. I may have to dip into the mason jar for saw projects, but know I'm shopping:quad:
