Thanks Larry and Chaz, we have 3 years to find a new place in town before Jr High starts. Larry, we absolutely could get a manufactured home in a park in town if I had to. After all I've said about our house out of town without city services I was so relieved to get back here and sink into my desk chair in this very warm house after being inside that home.

Obstacles with financing in this small town (crazy disabled lady) though lenders on the phone outside of Wyoming were more than happy to underwrite it, the strings tied to rehab mortgage, the deadline down to hours, then a MAJOR creep factor when finally inside.

We really should have bought it regardless of the inside, got it livable, and done my time there a year or so, we would have had an extra source of income for the rest of our lives for pennies on the dollar.

Being sick SUCKS, it would have been a totally different story when I was healthy.

wildwest there's buyer's remorse and there's non buyer's remorse. You have the latter, just realize that right now good contractors are scarce. Nothing worse than a bad house you can't get out of.. I know!

Veterans day today. Wife and watched a movie last night about a prison break during WWII when over 300 Jews escaped from one of the prisons. A real scary movie and it is hard to imagine just what it was like having to go through what those people went through.

I don't even know what time it is. Being 5 hours behind where I normally am is so odd.

    However, it's so awesome here.
My wife told me about the big tree. We'll be down that way sometime this week.

On our walk this am, I saw a few Palm tree rounds all bucked up to 20", but not split. Lol

Both the gas station and the oil shop are coming along.....I have to wonder where everyone's gonna park at that oil shop, the other location has 13 or more staff let alone customer vehicles. Lot looks awful small.
those poor houses are really starting to look out of place, and when my aunt brought up the house she found for sale the other week, she made a comment about "that's not gonna last much longer up there". I wonder exactly what made her say that but that little gravel lane did have its own street sign, and it seems to have Been removed.

My son and I did a little work outside today. A little. But, it is Sunday. So we went riding the four wheelers and had a blast. Then we went for a ride with his sisters in my new to me truck and gave Mom a nice break. I took them all to Tim Horton’s for hot chocolate and a cookie and we went for a cruise. My wife went riding her horses with my Nephew (brother’s son) who has been taking some horse riding lessons and is trying to get use to horses. She really enjoyed herself today. After they were done riding I got on the tractor and started working on a new trail. Dig a few stumps out and cleared some brush as well. It was chilly out there but fun. A great day for all of us. Last night my wife crawled in bed early (tired right out from kids and house work), so I watched a movie with the kids and let her relax. The Incredibles 2. Funny movie. Get together with a kid or Grandkids and watch it.

Mr. Horkn is not real fond of the morning pick me up known as coffee... He’s more of a Mt. Dew fan...

But I’ve had some Hawaii coffee from Costco.... Stuff was good...

Yup, they do oil changes, tire changes, other fluids and a few other menial jobs like wiper blades and filters. In other words Mostly stuff easily done in your driveway in 5-10 mins haha. Except putting tires on wheels, those machines are a little pricey for the non-professional.

Although you'd like to think a professional shop would have their fluids safely contained, I have to admit I'd have a touch of the heebie jeebies about oil seepage if I had a well that close to such a spot.

Just happened. I sold my 2008 F-250 outright. (Probably going to miss her.) But I got a nice price for her while the mileage was still low.

Upgraded to a nice, one owner, 2015 Silverado LT 1500 4X4 with low miles and some extra toys on her. Nice, comfy ride. Just got here yesterday.
