Ended up getting a little dusting of snow overnight. I looked outside expecting to see white this morning but the only thing I could make out was lots of green and a pungent haze of some sort......:picard: :(

Up early this morning. campinspecter got a new winch yesterday for his wood splitter so he is heading out for a load of firewood this morning. It is right on the freezing mark this morning as it cleared up yesterday. Not our first frost but it is our heaviest so far this fall.

this will be the first week I have worked a full week for a while. I have been taking days off here and there for appts. and helping Mom. I think I am going to enjoy this week as I can get projects done.

Holly crap. Hope its ok to say this. My wife had a liver cancer in 2006 and had transplant. Things have been good but in the last two weeks the price went up $1000 for the meds she needs so she doesn't reject her liver. We don't really dont have it and I must admit its been a kick in the Ash for the two of us. I am so thankful today we got some good news and the meds will be more affordable again. 31 years for us. So now its a great day. :)

When you get around to an upgrade, pull the memory and SSD. Of course, those might be obsolete by that time, so................
I put an NVMe drive in my laptop and it makes a difference. Wife's has a regular SATA SSD, and so does my older machine. Helps prolong the life of older stuff.:dex:Haven't added any memory.....it got pretty expensive again.
Very first time (back in 1994) I updated memory was when I bought 8 MB.....yes, MB, for $300. :hair::rofl:

I remember my first one was to add some RAM but don't remember how much. At the same time I installed a 10 mg hard drive. Wow! Really souped up that computer!

Wife and I usually vote absentee and did the same this year. No trip to the polls and no waiting.
