I think I see the problem - cats do not belong IN stoves, just basking in the warmth. And good luck with that bath - watch out for claws

 

Looks nice. Fully furnished, so you won't have to move her in. Or, you'll have to move the old furniture out, and your aunt's stuff in!

 

Well you get a rain check on yard work today, rest up.

 

Not much doing today with this nor'easter, sick and tired of this rain really slows you down on things that need attention, oh well

 

Haha, she first said something about having encouraged her son to buy a house, but that he might not be ready and then started talking like she'd like to move in herself. They're still living in the house her husband grew up in, so he won't be easily persuaded to move. Here's the current place

Some more commodities......poor little avalon doesn't seem to have many containers lately. Probably giving most of the load to her biggest fleet mate that takes freight from the same place.


The tanker normally imports oil product from new Brunswick, but this time she came from our refinery, her sister having also dropped off a load beforehand and is now at our refinery as well. They Must be doing business with our refinery. I guess if they're buying and selling our local product, I can't complain.....

 

Caffeine went in after I got out of bed about 7. Trip to the dump/transfer station with my parents and our trash. Many buckets of firewood moved and dumped by porch as my son and daughter stack it under there. Break time for all of us!

 

Holy crap am I tired. Couldn't get to sleep until 1am, then woke up at 5 and couldn't get back to sleep. Hopefully there will be a nap on the couch in my future once I get home from getting my hair cut.

 

Fir and walnut in the stove this am, like the last few days. That's a good combo when you don't need a lot of heat, just something to take the chill off, and the furnace quiet.

I love chunky monkey season. The fire doesn't care if the wood is pretty.

Today I'm taking the boat to storage for the winter. The guy has a farm a few miles north of me and doesn't charge a stupid amount. He's also a wood hoarder. He's got a wood boiler in his garage next to his farm house that he keeps his truck and his wood in. It's a slick setup.

Then after we drop the boat off, the four of us ( me, wife and 2 dogs) are going to our friends house for trick or treating. It's a good excuse to hang out after boating season is done.

There will be all sorts of bad for you food, which I'm really looking forward to. .We all pitch in and bring food and drinks. We also have a fire in the driveway in a fire pit.

Oh yeah, we dress the dogs up. I think my wife went too far with William's costume. Badger likes his though and it's pretty funny with our local mountain lion/ cougar sightings this summer.

The lion sleeps tonight!!


The lion mane is the perfect color for Badger. It blends in with his coat.
