Morning all. Just above freezing this morning. Four days to my week this week so that will be good. We have had some awesome weather for this area. Getting ready for our walk.

Nyquil day is very ineffective. I suggest Theraflu day. That stuff will get you through a day at work. The night time Theraflu works great too.

It's going to be a relatively easy day here methinks. Last night I was sitting in a deer blind when my wife called on the 2-way radio. Neighbor had shot a buck and it came onto our place. But, he would wait until dark to track it. Good thing. So, after dark I came to the house but nobody else came. Hum... Ate some supper and then they showed; 3 of them. So I went with them; good thing too because they did not have any decent lights. I found the buck for them after we had lost the blood trail. But the worst part was once I stooped down to look at a leaf to determine if I were seeing blood or just red color. I was down on one knee...then couldn't get up. I tried and tried then finally I almost made it, but fell backwards. Needless to say, that did not do my back any good. Even had to do something I rarely do and that was to get up once during the night for pain medicine. But....the boy got his buck!

That was really good of you to help them find the deer. Would have been a shame had it gone to waste. Sorry about your fall and your back pain. Did you have a walking stick with you? I have found them useful to get back up. Having three points,(your two feet and one stick) gives you a good base for stability and helps prevent falling backwards.

Yeah Larry, I usually take my cane but for some unknown reason last night I just walked out without it. That could have saved some pain. Maybe I'll remember the next time.

Awesome walk this morning. Clear skies with lots of stars. As we walked up the walking path beside the highway, you could see the fog forming just above the highway. Not really thick but it was there about 50 feet above the road. For a while it was just at an intersection but then it started forming elsewhere. It was still clear when we got back to the house but with the faint smell of wood smoke in the air, it will probably form again until the sun comes up. Beautiful morning.

Just went and looked. The water is calm out there and here and there are patches of fog on the water. It is going to be a gorgeous day.

When going off into the woods, a stick is better. It allows you pull yourself up higher. and allows for better placement on irregular surfaces. My daughter inlaw made mine. She cut the wood. It is about an inch and a half thick and 5 ft. long. She takes the bark off, dries it out, then finishes the surface. mine has lots of designs on it. Try one, you will find out very quickly which is better suited for you.

I ask for the old sudafed behind the counter at the pharmacy. The new version on the shelf doesn't help me at all.
