    Spent the weekend at the cottage. Started getting ready for the winter with about 1/2 done. Water froze up overnight on Fri...no damages. Snowflying once again...this morning and lat Sat of course. Time just isn't waiting for anyone but hey, it is the middle of Oct!

    I guess it's about time I start bringing the wood into the porch. I've been grabbing a few pieces at a time as needed from the stacks. Earlier than I expected to be burning!

    We got home yesterday, furnace on to take out the chill, then she settled down in front of the stove setting it up.

    It's all gooder.
    We have ample supply, and I'm not quite done yet this year.

    It's fairly warm this evening. Stove is winding down, I'm out on the porch after a dip in the hot tub. Nice and comfy in a tee shirt and shorts

    yes, I am up early this morning as well. I was trying to find a photo from my school days and I ended up going through all my photo albums at 4:30 AM. I found it though.

    Clear, and just above freezing this morning. campinspecter has a load of towels almost ready to hang on the clothes line this morning. I think he is going out for another load of wood today. He really enjoyed yesterday.

    Here is a pic of the tree just down the block. Most of the trees at the school are past their prime colours now.
