    Had to go to Buffalo VA with Chazsbetterhalf for a pulmonary doctor appt.

    Saw a sign on Transit that a tree service had out, looking for climbers, $30/hr.

    Not sure if that's good money or not for the job, but it's more than I make.

    On way home stopped by the refuse transfer station out of curiosity, there was some large (looked like) maple.

    I was not geared up for a scrounge though. There was a guy dropping off some pine, gave him my name & phone #.

    We'll see if he calls,he asked what I was interested in, told him I was interested in any ash, maple & oak.

    Said he cuts a bit of maple.

    Who knows, maybe a contact made.

    Thanks! I'm already thinking of just how I'm going to block off the ends to keep the rest of the snow out.....maybe a sliding barn door type of do-hickey?

    Forgive me fhc for I have sinned. I loaned out a saw to one of the techs at the shop. o_O

    He had a decent sized limb blow out of a pine tree last nite and didnt wanna ask his fil to borrow a saw. He saw me cutting up pallets with my 193t today at work (aka my kindling) and hit me up.

    He buys good mac and snap on mechanic tools so theres my collateral i reckon.

    He's a tech there and doesn't own a saw...shame on him! When I worked at the bike shop I had to turn down half the "project" bikes that I could have bought...just cherry picked the best ones...made a lot of side money that way! I would think the opportunity's at an OPE shop would be even higher
