No like 7-3 then 3-11 then 11-7 rotates on a weekly basis and changes for weekend coverage and holidays.

Someone should build a small wood gasification powered trike! Your splits could be match sticks. Stinny, get to work on this. I'll expect progress within 18 months.

Gotcha. Rotating can take a while to get use to. But you can do it. I did it four about 7 years or so.

Rotating is very stressful to your body. Night shifts shorten lifespan. So if you have to do those shifts, you need to force yourself to get adequate rest.

True my friend. Good advice. Luckily for me those years are behind me. I sleep at night, every night now.

So, we had a busy day today. After our 1 1/2 walk/hike and breakfast, we canned fish.

After Campinspecter had a nap and lunch, we went down and found out that Cherries were on sale so we brought home 20 lbs. I didn't get a picture as it wasn't fair to post one of Campinspecter covered in cherry juice while pitting and halving cherries. got 21 pints and a cherry cobbler which is cooking as I type.

Finished up 1st cutting grass custom work and my 2nd cut alfalfa. Still haven't got any wet!:dancer:Tomorrow I'll round up the 6 cows that calved in the last couple days and do some repairs to the discbine and service the balers.

Sounds rough. Try to stay rested up.

All hell is about to break loose here with some strong storms...then the temp is supposed to be in the low 70's/50's for the rest of the week.

Wind will harvest some trees for you, and then you have cool temps to work in. Might be a wind win.

I never thought having my mom in the hospital for 2 weeks now would put such a toll on me. Aside from my work schedule, there are daily visits into the city to see her, taking on her chores, and trying to share time with my own family. It's exhausting! My fingers are crossed they will release her today. I'm glad she is doing better but I also want to have her life at home again, people her age don't want to lose their independence.

It's a tough go and unfortunately, will get tougher as they age. The last two years that my mother was with us were a day to day exercise for all of us. Enjoy her while you have her. The end comes all too soon.

As difficult as it is, and gets, it will be time you will be glad you gave. The group is very large who have, or are, taking care of their parents in their older years. Hope she's home soon and feeling better.

Beautiful day here. Temp and dew point have both dropped about 20 degrees. Sky is blue (not haze gray). I'm stuck in my office slinging code. Oh well...gotta pay the bills.
