Working on installing new back door. Old house=surprises when you tear into something.

Heck, unless you built it yourself, you get surprises in newer houses too. I put in a ceiling fan 2 summers ago. When I ripped out the existing light fixture, I found a black and white wires tied together. If I remember correctly it is called loop back wiring to power another room and not recommended any longer. Thankfully, Google is your friend and I was able to figure out what was what.

Spent the last 2 days patchin a slatherazz rubber roof job on my apartment building !!! Contractors covered the hatch and never put in a new one on the high side of the roof so I had to get a roofer friend over with a man lift (3 stories). Havent been on the roof since it was new and hatch was covered over and found they didn't put enough ballast down !!!! MIFFED I am !!!
My business' boom time should come to a seasonal slow down in a few weeks. Can't wait. This 7 days a week routine since early April is about to kill me !

Cut the grass for what I hope is the last time this year, raked some leaves, brought in the hoses and lawn furniture, picked up another ton of wood pellets and finished splitting the birch I cut down a few weeks ago. Had dinner, got cleaned up, and around 9 PM got called out to fix a customers equipment that was having problems. Being on call isn't the most fun, but that's what helps keep the lights on and food on the table.

Got home and am trying to unwind and get to sleep.

I see your rotational grazing set up in the background there 'Grazer. Love to pick your brain on how you do it someday. I've been trying for a few years now but the cow/sheep combo makes it tough.

Ask away! I'm still fighting getting it up and running the way I think it should. I know a guy who tried to run sheep and cattle...he has given up and is now running them separately.

Cool man, thanks, and glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling with that combo. I can keep the cows with one strand, but of course the sheep go right under. The sheep absolutely respect the electronet, while the cows just jump right over, even though it's the same height as the single strand. Frustrating. Anyway, I'll start a thread when I get done with my D.C. trip. I can't put anything else in my brain right now, I'm totally overwhelmed.

Always. It is interesting to say the least when working on an old house. Or should I say, sometimes interesting, sometimes frustrating, sometimes you wish you could just burn it down. I mean, :emb: what I meant was you wish you could have a break and have a nice little bonfire and a cold beer. Ya, that's it.:fire:
