I got up last night around 2 and did some tinkering. That was a mistake....only made it worse.

Hang in there. Try to work out what your mind is racing with and you can then work out a solution. I’ve had insomnia quite a bit these past few years and I know what you are going through.

Having a daily routine of physical activity that requires a decent amount of exertion helps me to sleep well. If I don’t get enough physical activity, I usually don’t sleep as well.

For some people who have jobs that don’t require physical activity, it can be tough to get that every day. But everyone can do it. You can literally get a good workout in 20 minutes by doing the right routine. And it can be fun.

I didn't sleep more than a handful of more than 6 hour nights for close to, two years after my son way born. Many 2 to 4 hour nights of sleep, never togeather, like 45 minutes, then 30 minutes then 2 hours. Sometimes 1 hour, then 3, then half an hour. We did that for like 18 months.

Oh, I know what is...It's been a helluva week. My uncle passed away Sunday. Monday my wife's cousin who I knew fairly well passed away. Last night my wife tripped and we were fairly sure she broke something in her foot (she got XRays this AM and didn't...just a bad sprain) so I was worried about her. It could be a lot worse than a couple bad night's sleep.

We're ok. We're up on a hill precisely because of flooding right before we bought our house in 2008. We rented a house that had flooding in 2008.

70+ mph straight line winds right now, but we're good for the moment. We are to get a couple more inches of rain tonight.

The lake we go to is the highest water level that a co-worker has seen, and he's lived on the lake for 25 years.

Rain rate 3.6 inches an hour now.

Yes, we're by the Milwaukee river and cedar Creek, which are both nearly at record levels.

    Tough times for sure lukem

Horkn it sounds like some very wicked storms have been hitting over there. I just looked at the radar and it appears some are moving into MI but are not to us yet. We got another .4" last night even though they had not predicted anything until late they changed to a 10% chance. Guess we got that 10%. Really sticky today.
