I'm here at my bodyshop guy's, waiting on a new rear hatch seal. I destroyed the old one sliding logs into the back. I've got a slightly better system now, I slide them on a scrap of plywood, but I'll probably trash the new one too.

Took a little while to get vertical this morning.

Going to try to get some more boiler install prep work done this evening. Down to the un-fun stuff....punching a hole through the basement wall, laying and backfilling PEX. I started making a hole in the block but, like EVERYTHING else in this house, it wasn't what I expected to find. Usually the cavity inside the block wide enought that you'd have no trouble getting a 4" pipe through there. Not this house. The block they used is either one of those 3/4 fill blocks or has a double rib...the cavity is only a couple inches. I've never seen this before.

Need to borrow my BIL's hammer drill/chisel but it's on a jobsite right now...should have it this evening.

I agree with Judy. She said, "Anything's better than not being able to move!" Stay with it brother.

Had to go to a viewing today for my boss's father.
Almost 93, great man with an awesome personality.

Have known him for 15.5 years now, and that man always had a smile on his face, and a joke or story to tell.
    :rofl: :lol::)

He will be missed by many. The line of people showing up to pay their respects was long, outside of the funeral home.

Came home, did my 'dog time' then graded the drive a bit more.

Measured the stacks today, and it calculates out to 6.3+ cord (not counting what's on the front porch which is ~.3 cord).
I think we've officially hit 2 years at this point, I plan to be hitting some more soon I hope.

So, we have a firewood processor who is leasing space at the back of our yard (at work). Today he loaded my trailer with 3 skid steer buckets of wood, right at 2/3 cord.
$90.00 for the load, already split. So now I know what it will cost and what to expect. He operates year round so I'll at least have it available if I want more. Hmmmm... what's a cord going for locally? I did a few searches and it's running $195- 300/ cord. For Pine and Aspen. Not even delivered.
Right now you can't find a logger willing to make a delivery, everything is going to the mills. And everything easy to get to has been downed a while ago. Now it's Jeep trails and steep slopes if you want to do it yourself. Even those are limited, a lot of trails have been closed to motor vehicles.
And I'm back working on prints tonight, construction is nuts in the mountains this year.

Thx all, as stated, he will be missed.

I was one of 5 employee's all those years ago.

Very family oriented owner, and got to know his family quite well over these many years.

He was an English teacher, and very active in the community theatre.

I'm blessed to have known him over the years, and happy to hear he went peacefully.
