Well I did get some tractor work done today. Finished mowing everything with the brush hog. Basically all grass and small brush. Then I hooked up the new three point hitch pallet forks. Got them on sale from Titan Attachments. I’m going to see about putting them to work tomorrow. Then I did some work for da boss. Chilled with kids and wife and now time for some

Took a couple hours of "me" time today. Dawgs went for a drive, got to freak out at the car wash (I washed out the bed of the new truck). Nice leisurely drive home on the frontage rd. , dawgs hanging out both rear windows.
Earl (the Boxer) rides a window like a Boss! He's awesome.
Got a few more requests for pictures for the vehicles I'm selling." Ok, dammit, I'll send a few more after I clean out the Jeep" (full of crap in the bed). I cleaned out the Jeep, much better than I expected. Back end looked pretty good. So.... hmmmm... what's the motor like? (mind you, this thing has been sitting 9 years since I parked it).
Checked fluids, rotated the crank to check, tossed a mouse by the ear out of the engine bay (not even joking), and jumped the battery........
It cranked and started. No, it didn't run, but it wanted to fire but I couldn't control fuel. Color me stunned! I'll have that sucker idling tomorrow morning.

Yeah, a simple salt, sugar, and water brine for 24 hrs really brings out the flavor, plus makes it really juicy.

The Ariens, yeah, it's pretty easy to work on, but I'll get the best of both worlds. The kt17 twin might still have life in it, but parts are not cheap and hard to find.

I'd be going to a 25+ hp engine from a 17 hp engine that I know is tired. Plus I'll be keeping the built like a real tractor, garden tractor with real shaft drive PTO's, a bullet proof hydro transmission, plus I've got a 48" dual stage snowblower, and a 48" mowing deck. I don't have a FEL for it, but I do have the weight box for the back.

Plus, it was Dad's tractor he bought new in 84. It's served him and I quite well for over 30 years. A commercial gx Honda v twin should serve me quite well.

Thanks for the offer. This sucker is an old school '73 CJ-6. They stopped making them in '75, and that's a shame.

Another thing that's more than a tad annoying is when people continuously try to help you and hive you advice when they know less about construction, mechanics, or whatever it us than you. Again, good intentions, so it's hard to say anything for fear of it sounding the wrong way

Another gorgeous day in paradise. My last day before work tomorrow. Going to visit Mom, cut her lawns, do a bit of yard work and visit. She has been picking salal and huckleberries for me to make jam. I also have to clean up the mess I created while reorganizing the computer room. The day is going to go fast.

Caffeine! I slept in for a while. It’s going to get hot later. 81 isn’t too bad I guess. But I better get going and get something done. You hoarders have some fun today.

What is the vulnerable factor? Wind? That should easily be taken care of.
