NICE! I have been thinking of going to a 60 or 61" eventually. And I would like a diesel as well.

Are the dogs both labs? I have a black lab and a chocolate lab. My chocolate is the English block head and the black is the American hunting type lab. My chocolate lab is the original couch potato. He father was an AKC champ with many awards. The black lab, a female, is very active and will dig out anything anything that moves.

I've been looking around at some nice larger mowers. The commercial grade are really nice. Wood chop shop here sells the Ferris. Another place not too far away sells the Kubotas. Each time I leave after picking up my chains from being sharpened I have looked at these mowers and their price tag. People prolly wonder why each time I come out I look like o_O

Both are a Lab mix. I rescued them both from an on line shelter/transport place. They go down to high kill shelters in several states in the south and bring them up to people who have been approved for adoption. Mostly in the northeast. They were not sure on the mix. Someone in adoption process said maybe shepherd. The vet paperwork said Lab-Husky. They both look like labs, but there is a distinct difference between the two. The male is all short hair. The female has thicker, longer hair, especially around the shoulders and neck area. Both are great with the kids. Just what we needed. They are getting a little more protective as they get older. Just barking and growling more now. They turned two this past March. The male will stand his ground, the female makes a lot of noise, and is afraid of a butterfly and her own shadow. LOL Both are great!

Sounds great. The protective part is good as long as they are appropriate. As a kid, we had a boxer who wouldn't let a stranger in. He always stood in front of my mother when she was pregnant with my little brother. When my brother was born. Pt he boxer was always standing guard with him. As a toddler, my brother would sleep between the dogs legs.
No one would dare ever mess with us when that dog was around.

Very true, they both are a lot of bark and growl. And it is appropriate. Once they are told it is okay, they are friends, they settle down but keep a watchfull eye on strangers. I'm afraid though, if you show them a sandwich....... Oh, it's you my old friend. If you give me that sandwich you can come right on in. Let's all be friends! How's that sound!???? K?

Just got back from working in the Philly area after those storms last week. Spent the fourth up there but had a good time. It was nice because the guys that went mostly all get along well. Made for a tired bunch though. Worked on the mess around here than up the road we went.
