Got a downpour last night. Supposed to get some more water over the next week. Wednesday and Thursday were so hot and humid I gave in for the first time this year and couldn't bring myself to do my yard work. Staying in town for a few days, grandmother's going to town for an appointment and I don't want to be home alone with grandfather.

Not a Facebook fan, more of a hater.

I actually only signed on to FB because of the tractor purchase.

2 friends, literally their first post to me was "Exactly when did hell freeze over?"


BIL texted me and asked, "did you friend request me on FB?"


As stated, I am NOT a fan of the platform, I think it does more harm than good.


I am but one man, I will not change the world, but I refuse to let it change me either.

All righty then, glad I got that out of my system.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against people on FB, I understand the reasoning.

I'm just not that into sharing every bit of my life. I really only hang out here, Google information, and Amazon shop.

I pay all my bills online at the beginning of the month, check email bi-monthly (sometimes).

I used to work IT, and now, computers are a distant, different lifetime.

I'm truly a happier person than I once was, even if not always happy.

 

My tushy needs a massage. 1200 miles in 35 hrs. home-to home. Just an FYI.

 

Up to Billings in the Honda, back in the truck. Truck ran great, got right about 16mpg doing 80, but you knew you were in a truck. Dawgs are wiped out, already asleep, didn't even eat when we got back. I'm heading to bed myself, it's been a long day.

 

I'm with you about FB. Not a member, and not even tempted. I don't need more opportunities for awkward social interaction.

Getting ready to go out on the lake all day today.

A friend of ours is going to join us on the boat.

Oh yeah, I have to add Sriracha to my bloody Mary mix. I'm also adding a few more tracks to my playlist.

After yesterday's $h!t show with drunken and late members showing up late for our 10 team dynasty fantasy football league, I need a chill day.

It's going to be HOT today. They guess a heat index of 100.

Just think of how pleased my employer would be if I got things right only ~50% of the time.

 

I found that the raw water pump belt on my ski nautique was off kilter. It was still making the pump spin, but the belt got twisted somehow. So no issue, but there was a slight belt squeak last time we went out.

It's gooder now.

 

Gorgeous morning here. Daughter and SIL are participating in a Kayak race around my hometown island today. I will try to get pics when they set off for the race course. I think we are in for a heat wave this coming week. It may get to 78 F here! Only if the wind doesn't pick up, of course. The rest of BC is battling major heat and lots of wildfires. Mostly lightening strikes started but unfortunately a few human started as well.

Daughter got home from her route 66, Pacific coast highway trip.. 5500 miles in jeep not counting flights to Chicago and back... She had same response..
