I think she'll be ok...... other grandmother is in a bad state though, cooped up in the mental ward at the long term care facility, hardly able to move.....she's 81 and been in that state for decades, even when she lived "on her own". I'm amazed she managed to live alone mostly incident free till she was in her 70s. Mind is off in fantasy land.......

My mother was the same, but only for 3 years or so before she died. Does your national health care pay for long term care?

It has been a great last couple of days.
We moved my 91 year old mother in Fri. I also set the wheelchair ramp that I had been working on in place.

Onyx my cat came home after a week away Friday. She must have had a traumatic experience. She hasn't left my side since coming home.
The Peach Truck Fresh Georgia Peaches | The Peach Truck came and I bought 1/2 bushel of peaches. Oh they are so good. Mom and I have canned 4 qrts. of peaches and 3 1/2 pints of jam. Also made a pie today.

Sorry to hear, but tats better than decades.

Being that she's a mental hospital patient, yes. Her facility is effectively a hospital as far as operation.

Hope we get some rain Gas, so far they swing around us as they approach. Since yesterday we haven't got enough to wet the ground under the trees. A number of big fires ongoing north and west of us, especially in Algonquin Park. They have been water bombing since friday. We need some good rain desperately. 135 km. of the Trans-Canada Hwy. close to us has been closed several times since friday due to the fires and smoke.

The Tree Ripe company sends trucks up into Wisconsin a couple times a year. We bought a 25lb box of peaches and made peach jam, tomato/peach jam, froze some and the wife made a pie and we are eating some fresh. They will be back in August and we may get another box. I would like to try my grandmothers recipe for peach pickles. I remember them from back in the day when I was just a kid.

They were correct yesterday. We called our friends that were to join us in my boat as their boat is in the shop had them meet us at the launch. While it was a little cloudy at first, it got really sunny and warm. It was a beautiful day swimming and enjoying the sun.

I had to tow my other buddy's boat to the launch as his starter would not engage after he left his key on for a few hours. I tried jumping it with my boat, but no dice. A pull to the launch was the easy fix for now. He got home and put this boat on the charger and his battery was at 74% charged. I'm thinking if he has points ignition that he fried them. I have a feeling that he has electronic ignition and no points though. It's about an 87 3.0 4 cyl omc I/O.
