Strange. I have seen others pick them on tv shows that big (reality TV I watch) and eat them. If ours get that big the seeds are hard like your eating them out of a seed packet. Same with squash. What variaty are they.

Scoop the seeds out, like scooping ice cream. The big ones make awesome casserole boats  We also dice them for lasagne!

Heavy overcast this morning and it seems to be lightening up now. It had better as I have two loads of wash on the line. I was out looking at my out of control rose bush and I think I need a lesson on pruning. I took some branches off that were scratching up against the RV but way more needs to done. If I post a picture, would anyone be able to criticize or give me some ideas? I know it is late in the season but this rosebush grows all year long it seems.

Roses are like vines (unless it's one of those newer bush virieties), rarely anything done will hurt them long term, you can actually easily root them usually sticking them in dirt. That said if you want a shape just go slowly working back to what you want. It will shoot out new leaves and shoots in a few days to weeks probably.

I didn't think it was possible, the retrofit lights I bought for the new bath are too bright :jaw:

The can lights are too close to the wall, so if you use the mirror the light shines down over the mirrored medicine cabinet (same thing with the kitchen sink can ) Also we've replaced an excessive number of bulbs in them, the electrician said it was from over heating because of the insulation in the attic, ummmm, why did you put can's in then?) Anyway I bought 2 led retrofits that tilt. OMG it's like being in an interrogation chair. And all the missed spots and mistakes the awesome older handyman did for me are really in your face. Guess I'll look into a lower bulb, I'm intimidated about putting a dimmer switch in as there 5 switches in that box.

Can you dim LED? I think you can just asking, I know some of the CFL can't but LED is totally different so I assume you can. I know you can on 12v like in automotive.

A dimmer might be the only answer. Turn off the juice and give it a shot.

Taking it easy this afternoon. Making home made Lasagna for the family and my parents are coming down. Getting ready to boil the noodles so I can get it put together and in the oven soon. Time for a cold bottle of beer.

Can't remember now, the camo one very well coukd be. the one with the wood cart has to be 14-16 years ago, the other one somewhat newer. I'm trying to figure out if that's dad's old Suzuki hauling the wood. It's my uncle Chris driving in that pic, dad on the trailer.

You're right NortheastAl less intimidating after taking the face plate off, it's the switch on the right. I'll get a dimmer ordered:)
