Wow, the price has really come down. My '87 4-runner TB change (at somewhere near 200k miles and 8-9 years) was twice that. Loved that truck. Bought new as a basic model. No A/C, only power window was the rear hatch window, but got 307k miles, was great on gas, standard transmission, 4-cyl beast that could go anywhere.

I think I may try to do some plumbing this afternoon and tomorrow. My 1960 house has galvanized supply lines that I'm fairly sure have lost 90% of their capacity due to rust and hard water deposits. Pressure is great, but there isn't enough volume to have more than one thing running without a huge pressure drop.

I went to Menard's last night and dropped a bunch of $ on PEX. My plan is build everything in parallel to the old system as much as I can, then do the cut-over all at once. I've already replumbed the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. The other two bathrooms need completely remodelled so I'm just going to tie in temporarily. Need to put in a new water softener too. And a new whole house filter. I think that's it.

Caffeine-sugar-water by the name of Dr. Pepper going in. Time to get outside and get some work done before it gets too hot.

All you hoarders have a good day.

Some people do stuff like that, we were guilty of it once (aerio just needed rear brakes) and won't be again. Now we drive everything till it can't be drove no more.

Traded my wifes Subaru needing tires. It had 100k on it, and the head gaskets hadn't blown yet, and the transmission fluid was fried. Happily took a grand for it in trade.

Over cast day with a chill wind. I don't know if I am going to get clothes dry outside or not. Bathrooms to clean, shopping to be done and soup for a potluck tomorrow to be made. Busy day. campinspecter is making good progress on the healing. Two weeks post surgery.

It's raining here. We needed it. It's supposed to rain off and on all day.

It stormed last night, so this should help with stuff getting crispy.

Right where I want to be.
So, wife's laptop power port has been broken for a while (this has happened to almost all of her laptops :headbang:), and I've been putting off tearing it apart to replace it.
Ordered the part, and got after it yesterday. Wouldn't power back on after I got it back together so it came apart again to check everything. Started right up, and the port works, so I guess I did gooder.
$10 part and it might have run $100 or more for someone else to do it. Fairly easy once I had it all apart, but I was a little leary to start.
Now, no need to buy her a new laptop.:dex::banana:Next time (fairly certain there WILL be a next time) will take much less effort.

Thanks. The 3-point hitch kit and 2’ Backhoe bucket were suppose to be with the tractor. But the transporter was never told to take them. Oh well. What are ya gonna do? The grapple will be in next week and I’ll run down and pick them all up with the F-250.

I was thinking you had this thing last week for some reason? Oh well. I know your glad it's here!! What in the world can you still be doing with all this work, are you stumping like 20 acres and making pasture? Cause you have a bunch of seat time already with this project.
