Sounds like a good place to throw in some cheap laminate for temporary...

Can you get by without useing it for a week? If it were me I would get a few gallons of not expensive but maybe not the most expensive thing. Pour them out on the floor and kind of mop around in a really thick caot, shut door put a few fans in there and open window. If you can't do without scrap that idea.

Good idea. Get a small remnant from HD or wherever and slap that down for a couple minutes. Cheap AND effective.
We got a piece of vinyl or linoleum (can't remember which) for less than $50 and did the batroom with it. It's still there. :D

I used the vinyl laminate flooring for the bathroom. I had reservations about it, but man-that stuff is a dream to install and has performed flawlessly! You do need a good surface to lay it onto, though.

Yeah sheet goods went through my mind too...but I was referring to laminate "wood" flooring...the click together planks stuff...our local Menards has it as low as $0.50 sq ft right now...either way would be gooder I suppose

All of you are SOOO sweet!! but, sorry, my feet often feel like I walking on bruised and beaten ground beef (similar to how I lost and found my wedding ring way back when I first joined papadave , it still does not fit  ). I tried memory foam bath mats and they got gross quickly since it's impossible to clean the lifts in the water damaged 1960's osb. I'd really like to potty and shower with something nice under me feet. My hesitation is by the time we level the lifts in the osb, add another layer of osb or luan, , plans are in the next few years to knock a wall out, expand that bathroom and put in a walk in shower for me on a new floor. IDK, I've been scrolling the internet deal sites for a few years now for an area rug to make cutouts on for the vanity and toilet, but the more comfy pile is cheaper. BUT!!!!! We do not have a big box store here but HD is running free shipping on 1/2" pile carpet. Spurred me to this temporary fix..... Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Ahhh, dang that's a gooder idea.
Menard's usually has that stuff pretty cheap (as in your example). It's temp anyway, so not much $ lost to tear it up.

Perfect! Since they only need it for a year ;)
I hear some of the newer waterproof laminate wood is pretty darn good.
Plus with laminates (sheet or planks) no fasteners needed normally

I don't like carpet on top of any wood substrate in the bathroom. Good place for mold to grow.......and OSB lifts to form. :hair:

Yep, and it's a very easy install. Put down about 500 sq ft of Pergo in son's living room. Fairly quick. This BR is prolly a bit smaller.

Except that the Ford 2.7 has 6 cylinders, and 2 turbos. That's a big difference.

That, and gm isn't marketing their 4 cylinder as a comparable engine to Fords 2.7 ecoboost. It's supposed to compare to a different f150 engine, although I don't see a direct competitor to that 4 cylinder.

One more thing, gm hasn't had a good track record at building DOHC engines, which the 2.7 4 cylinder is.
By 2 unproven engines, you mean the gm 2.7, and what's the other one? The 2.7 Ecoboost is well proven. It's also proven to hit above it's weight class. 325 hp and 400 tq with a 10 spd is very impressive.

I hear you on the the waterproof vinyl click lock flooring :) Thats what's I bought and had put in our new bathroom, where the memory foam mats are now, along with the jetted bathtub that that has tall sides where all 3 of us bathe/shower. WWW put grab bars in there for me so it's safe, just got in my mind I could move back into the old bathroom with the shallow bathtub and some some comfort when I use it. I didn't mean to rattle anyone, all good here :)
