Yep, and it makes it almost impossible to get out of the chair.

 

At least there should lots of football to watch this weekend!

 

Yep, my beloved Hawkeyes play Saturday and if I'm lucky enough I might find a stream for the basketball teams exhibition game as well.

 

Took the kids trick or treating. Which is it anyway? It rained so we didn't go to a lot of places. They didn't need to anyway. By the time they get home from school and dancing for the girls they have enough candy already! But got to see the grandparents, a few of their uncles, aunts, and cousins. I am now enjoying a cold Michelob Ultra while the kids do some reading before sleeping. Littlest one is already out cold.

I took down a dead pine that could reach the power line at the camp. The wind coming tonight has me worried a bit for the line. But I have the worst trees down now. I think.

Probably some hockey on as well. Since we gave up our StarChoice(Shaw) TV subscription, who or what is playing is not really important anymore. Now when we start talking about genealogy, I can make your eyes glaze over real quick!

 

I get ESPN3 and BTN on the internet so I usually get my Hawkeyes games.

Woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. Decided to get up and head to the hardware store when they opened at 6 to buy all the stuff I need to replace my electrical load center next week...then went to work.

Trick or treating got rained out last night so taking the munchkins out tonight.

Drink a few beers and hit the hay.

 

Finishing up work a little early today. Taking my bride to a play tonight for her birthday.

 

What are you going to see?

 

We are going to see ghost brothers of dark land county.

 

The Dragon Lady is going to a Opera tonite. I am going to play with my wood!

Watching a video on wartime nutrition and contemplating breakfast. Hawkeyes football game starts in an hour.

 

Man, it will be nice to see the sun again.

 

I was able to fire the forge for about 5 hours. Pure bliss. Sunny and 65 degrees. There are not too many days left like this.


Tried forge welding for the first time and had good success.




Made up some artsy leafy stuff.





Finished three pieces. I just have to fix them to barnboards. I really like the forge welding. Maybe with practice I can add a few more leaves to the larger pieces.

I came down to the camp and turned the pellet stove up so when the rest of the family came down they would be a little warmer. Some left over chicken parm and spaghetti in the crock pot was tasty with a salad. Sitting around relaxing now.

 

Swept the chimney and stove pipe this afternoon and finally fired up the Fireview this evening for the first time this season. She's purring along at 400• on the stovetop on a couple kiln dried oak boards.
