Somebody in town picked up a dog from the street during the storm tonight. It was wearing a thunder jacket. I thought of Belle. Horkn

I miss her. She was a great dog. She would out hunt any of the dogs I've seen recently.

I'm up earlier than typical for a weekend day. Dogs wanted out to go potty, and they booted me from my bed. Those 2 labs are bed hogs. But I love them.

I checked the temperature outside, and at 7 am it's already 75° . It's going to be a steamer today.
Headed to the lake again probably by 9:30 am, to beat the rush at the launch, and also have to put 10 gallons of gas in the nautique as well.

Here's a pic of the offending bed hogs from yesterday. William, in the boat, and Badger way back by the shore. Look straight back from the boat and you see him with his orange toy. IMG_20180616_105558392_HDR.jpg

Here in the woods there was a job labeled Hooker for the guys. It was a short form for Hook Tender and I copied the job description below. No one seemed to blink when they were called a Hooker.

A bit warm and muggy out today. Front porch says it's 83°F and 65% RH.

Got some splitting done yesterday, changed oil in engine and hyd filter as well as topping off hyd fluid.
Today I think I shall relax a bit, as I'm not a huge fan of high heat/humidity.

Phone is driving me bonkers, our 4G service is down, and so I connected it to wi-fi, and it's having fits. Keeps doing a
"mini reboot" is about the best way to describe it. :hair::headbang:

Later today I'm gonna smoke up an 8lb pork loin and 2 racks of ribs.
Oh, and drink some beer. :coldone::pete:

Hope everyone has a great Father's Day. :tip:

Have had open MRI. Some not too bad, others still tough sledding. In my book, being put out is still much better.

Just a little information here that is interesting. Most know I'm a fan of Race Across America. In about 1/2 hour they will end day 5 (they left Oceanside, Ca Tuesday at 3:00). The leader has already rode 2013 miles! In 5 days means he has rode his bicycle over 400 miles per day for 5 days straight.

Another way to look at this is that he started at the Pacific Ocean in southern CA Tuesday and he'll be crossing the Mississippi River this afternoon or evening. Simply amazing. Also, he has a lead of 282 miles over second place. Good chance he will win, huh?! One tough character. btw he is from Austria.
