The last time they changed something in the phone office, our rotary quit working. We turned it in and got a few dollars from it

One has to realize that we have a very private phone company and it is very small too. They have their own ways and have things locked up so they can dictate whatever they want to do. But they are finding they are losing lots of business since cell phones came out because there are others who have cancelled their land-line phones. Not sure if they just don't have Internet service or perhaps Dish satellite.

Did some walleye fishing from the dock last evening, but I got skunked!

The lake was too calm and the weather was great....just not for fishing.

    Maybe tonight.

Kind of a sad day.....the blue ship was built here and served our offshore for 22 years. Name painted over, renamed, and getting sold off overseas. Sad sight. On her way to denmark now....she has a twin sister still laying up. Wonder if she'll see the same fate soon.

Glad you're OK. That kind of storm is scary for man and beast. No cell reception is weird. I guess if the electricity to the cell tower goes out, no cell service?

  Kiddo's been stealing the bacon off the bbq barrel for the cheeseburgers   And adding "extra" logs to the fire.

Far Out, my neighbor friend asked me to help her sell her 58' pickup. Will get pics and details tomorrow. Not that I could do anything with it but I have admired how well it weathered out here with the 90mph sandblasting winds.

Wooops, yikes, it's a lot worse up close. 58 Ford. A lot like your above pic but with 2 headlights and more paint on the hood and no flares on the rear tire wheels.

Makes sense to me...you know, the tire wheels...different than the flywheel, or the steering wheel. Duh! :p
