I let mama sleep in this morning, then went out and finally paid attention to the yard and not firewood. Spent an hour taking up the 362828837 twigs and branches from the winter storms on a good chunk of th back yard. About 2/3 to go in the back and front.

Then we went to my inlaws. I totally fell off the wagon there and ate a ton of garbage. Surprisingly, I feel like total crap now. Back on the clean eating train tomorrow.

I need to clean my ac unit out. I'll try to do it before the next time we need to turn it on.

I did get the mower deck on the tractor today and I mowed until the gas ran out. The lawn was tall. So it used more gas than normal, but the majority of the lawn is done, the stuff you can see from the road at least. IMG_20180513_145647041_HDR.jpg

Because I used all the gas, and then ran out, I didn't get the splitter or the majority of the wood that I brought home unloaded. I did grill out ribs though, and they were good as always.

The splitting can wait until later this week.

Worked on my dad's barn all afternoon setting roof purlins. Driving those 6" spikes is not a lot of fun. It was extra hot and sweaty outside too.

Finished cleaning up some trees dropped last month and as I went to put the ms170 away there was a ribbon snake coiled around it. I let him be and found him occupying the stoop

He's a little guy compared to the shed I found on the gazebo easy 7' long 3" diameter rat snake

Ok, I just hauled and stacked a gorilla cart full of shagbark hickory and sugar maple splits to my lower stacks. Then I put everything away in the shed. I also covered the wood on the trailer and the splitter with a tarp and some bungees. It's now supposed to rain tomorrow. I was planning on taking the bike to work.

Well no bike tomorrow. I'll drive the cage instead. It looks like I'll be able to ride 2 days this week. Hopefully.... That's how I counteract the high gas prices, although my new engine in the bike requires premium and the original engine needed only 87. Still, 35-40 mpg is better than 18-20 mpg in the car.

Right? It's crazy how many there are. I didn't even need to take after last winter, I just went through the yard and picked up some twigs, mostly small branches. Filled the wheel Barrow a few times. I filled it three times already today, and I'm only a third through the yard.

Found a flat on the wheel barrow today too. Gotta patch that....while remembering gloves because I rolled through some poison ivy when dumping.

Just slime it. Wheelbarrow tires are not worth fixing the traditional way.

Interesting scenario this past week at the cottage.

The LP tank was completely empty over the winter due to a bad valve packing (now replaced) on the main tank. Got a little LP delivered on Friday and tried to light the pilots this afternoon---No gas pressure!

Ended up breaking the lines and found they had water in them...probably due to the tank forming condensation on the inside, I'm thinking?

(See Eric VW ? Condensation was forming...not froming!)
